This is what oligarchy is:
Elon Musk, the richest man alive, plans to spend at least $100 million to help elect Republicans.
We must end this corrupt campaign finance system, get rid of Citizens United, ban super PACs and move to public funding of elections.
Sean Zvarevashe’s lawyers have written to @PoliceZimbabwe asking for clarification about a donation that Wicknell Chivayo wants to make to the Harare CID Homicide Department.
The donation includes 10 armoured Toyota Fortuners, US$250,000 worth of equipment and iPhone 17 Pro Max phones for the officers, as a thank-you for their role in securing convictions in a major armed robbery case.
The lawyers want to know whether the police have received the items or approved the donation. They have also raised concerns that accepting such expensive gifts could create legal and ethical problems, including allegations of bribery and questions about the police’s impartiality.
THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION WANTS PEOPLE TO RELEASE THEIR BIRTH CERTIFICATE TO PROVE THAT THEY ARE NOT UNDOCUMENTED.
I WANT THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION TO RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES TO PROVE THAT TRUMP AND HIS FRIENDS ARE NOT PEDOPHILES 🙄
🚩🚩 The Zimbabweans who have become vendors did not wake up one day and choose to be vendors; they are living proof of the struggles and realities faced by the majority. People are simply trying to earn a living and support their families.
If the concern is about cleaning the city or urban development, vendors should be relocated to designated areas where their livelihoods can continue without interruption. Proper solutions, dialogue, and understanding are what truly lead to sustainable change.
Ultimatums rarely work. What people need are honest conversations, respect, and policies that address their needs. This is a call to #FixTheCountry.
And just like that… everybody stopped talking about the Epstein Files.
🚨Ted Lieu: "The unreleased Epstein files show Trump raping children. That’s what’s being hidden. That’s why the files stay sealed. That’s why there are no arrests."
Tesla pays $323 million dollars a year to China in taxes for their Chinese plant.... Tesla pays $0 dollars in taxes for it American plants.... and yet somehow a single mom working 2 jobs on food stamps is the problem with this country.... wake the fuck up!!!!
Repression of political opposition surges in post-election Zambia https://t.co/lRiG3Ii6NN The UN, although not at highest level, is starting to take a hard line on a heavy hand that should now, after the inauguration, start to lighten. There is no need at all for the heavy hand.
An Amazon worker died in one of Amazon's warehouses.
As he lay on the floor dying, management told the other workers: "Just turn around and don't look. Get back to work."
That was a human being. A child of God. Sacrificed on the altar of corporate greed.
I was watching Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi's presentation on Samora Machel, Liberation and the Decolonial Condition at the summit hosted by the Samora Machel Foundation and Rhodes University. It is a must watch.
There's no greater time to raise our political consciousness than now, when we are witnessing an unprecedented level of gluttonous behavior by those who lead our countries. It goes against the principle of Samora Machel of leaders being the first to sacrifice and last to benefit. We are seeing the complete opposite. They call themselves servant leaders, but they do not sacrifice anything, yet they benefit first.
Anyway, Mbuyiseni really spoke on coloniality evident in different forms, such as enclave economies. This morning, the Mayor of Bulawayo, David Coltart, also tweeted about two economies in existence in Zimbabwe. The colonial architecture continues.
He also touched on the extent to which leaders would go to rule, even through killing Black people. Case in point: Tanzania. Perpetuating the idea that Black bodies are disposable, etc. The obsession to rule. He said government should be based on the will of the people.
He also touched on egocentric political party entrepreneurship.
My last takeaway point was that countries in the SADC region cannot achieve a true developmental agenda if they do not coordinate.
Please watch and share what you think:

“We ought to ask how is it that in Durban today Tanzania's president is allowed to sit amongst SADC heads of states when she's a product of what everyone has legitimately called illegitimate elections” Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi
🔸97 deaths and counting. How many people were on the boat? Do they even know? Why has nobody been arrested for negligently causing these deaths?
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
