@DaMullet The foxes are large, but it's true there are very few scale cues! Oakhame Ranger is one off the top of my head that shows human children for scale... assuming the kids weren't also shrunk by a spell.
@BaseJeleren Thank you so much! I don't know what other kinds of ancillary stuff might be coming out surrounding Eldraine, but there's definitely a deeper dive into the PWs in Kate Elliott's novel "The Wildered Quest."
@LawGuyBen It's true that I'm not very easy to get a hold of these days, and I'm sorry for that! Hopefully I'll get out to a show or two next year. Thank you for asking!
@kellydigges @MarkWintersArt Working with you is still one of the brightest highlights of my career. More than a year later I still have "what would Kelly do?" moments.
@rpancoast_art I love everything about this post. Artists growth IS a lifelong journey, and everyone's is unique, but taking a moment to look back and see what you've achieved is a powerful thing.
@kellydigges @rhineville It was also originally penciled in for a split card in Ravnica, but I wanted to save full-ghost Kaya for a bigger art box. ;) #WotCStaff
https://t.co/UAesEbnS9b #WotCStaff announced today: every pack of Modern Horizons will have an ART SERIES card! Here are some fun facts about these extras...
@ThomasLindsay53 @maro254 Thank you! (I always pass the bulk of credit along to the artists), but I was the set's lead art director, and creative lead @kellydigges wrote most of the art descriptions, along with contributions from me and Alison Luhrs. Amazing team.
@MattJD_68 They're the same stock and size as regular cards, though you could totally put them in hard plastic sleeves and use them as card dividers of you wanted to :)
@MeanestLarva Product architect Mark Heggen wanted to find a way to do something that involved art instead of ad cards, so he and I + @kellydigges and others came up with a few ideas.
@rpancoast_art It was a great video (and you use Liquin, too!). Really fantastic way to shine a light on how much effort and care goes into Magic illustration.
@rpancoast_art There was so much disbelief at my desk when this piece came in that it was an oil painting. "You're lying! Show me the brushstrokes!" they said. So glad you captured it on video! Breathtaking work, Ryan. #WotCStaff
