Love this happy post. Love Sheldrick Wildlife. Love that David found Daphne and she created a trust named after him (after he passed away) and they have saved so many elephants and other endangered animals.✌
Saved! This dik-dik was spotted by rangers from the SWT/KWS Burra De-Snaring Unit on a routine patrol. Cut free from the snare, he was released into a protected area. Just one example of how our field teams are saving wild lives.
The heroes of wildlife conservation have the courage to live with the successes, but also to withstand the tragedies. Dr @JunaidiPayne & his staff kept Iman the Sumatran rhino alive for years longer than predicted. Thank them for their duties carried out on behalf of Earth.
This orphaned giraffe Jazz, is being cared for by the Rhino Orphanage. But it seems like the best carer is this German Shepherd called Hunter. ❤️

If Iman dies, we will be appreciably closer to the extinction of the singing, furry, loveable little Sumatran rhino. Malaysia will have 0 rhinos. Iman has fought hard through episodes of ill health. Her vets have courageously handled her care & perhaps soon her death, for us.
Meet our newest little miracle, baby Wema! Yesterday we celebrated the ultimate sign of an orphans’ successful reintegration journey when wild-living orphan Wendi strolled up to the Ithumba Reintegration Unit mud bath with a new born baby in tow! https://t.co/C3I7rBUvxA
