Today (Oct 18th) is #InternationalPronounsDay – a day about respecting, normalizing and educating on the use of personal pronouns.
Referring to people by the pronouns they determine for themselves is basic to human dignity. Everyone should have the freedom to be their authentic selves and have their correct pronouns respected.
Using someone’s correct pronouns isn’t just a courtesy, it is a core principle connected to liberty and dignity.
That is why we are challenging changes made to #Policy713 in #NewBrunswick that restrict many students from using their chosen pronouns in school.
Next week, on Oct 25, we will be in court to seek public interest standing as a first step in this court challenge #PronounDay #Policy713 #nbpoli #cdnpoli
