@seesthepoint A backhanded slap on the right cheek with the right hand was done to reprimand subordinates/servants/those of ‘lesser’ stature. Turning the left cheek, reserved for ‘equals,’ would defiantly dare one to strike again w/wrong hand on the wrong side...

7 MONTHS AGO both JayZ and @meekmill were trashing @trvisXX for performing at the Super Bowl.
“For what???? Stay strong in this sh*t!,” Meek said.
Seven months later, look who’s performing for the @NFL on opening night Sept 5....MEEK MILL.
So much for “staying strong,“ right?
@seesthepoint People use “turn the other cheek”” as an excuse for inaction; a rationalization for being passive and accepting injustices or unfair treatment. That’s a complete bastardization of scripture.
@seesthepoint Turning the cheek was a dare to “treat me as an equal,” it was an act of defiance, not passivity, compliance, or acceptance.
It was a way to resist systems of domination and oppression without the use of violence. That was the lesson Christ was teaching.
@J_R_KITE @seesthepoint You offer nothing to back up your conjecture. “Submitting to authority” is not submitting to oppression, cruelty, or injustice.
Jesus consistently defied authority, broke laws and dissented.

@J_R_KITE @seesthepoint Christ was arrested and crucified because he defied corrupt authority. Most of his disciples were executed for doing the same thing.
He never taught to passively accept mistreatment, oppression, and injustice. That’s a bastardization of Scripture.
@J_R_KITE @seesthepoint He had to submit to crucifixion as he was sentenced to death under the law.
He defied laws by healing on the sabbath and teaching in ways that challenged a corrupt system. This is why he was crucified. His death was an act of resistance against evil, not compliance to it.
@J_R_KITE @seesthepoint Being murdered by an unjust system does not connote compliance with it.
If he complied with it, he would’ve never been crucified.
Seems you’re missing the entire point.
@CaBaps1515 @_MichaelJ_XXXV @J_R_KITE @seesthepoint There’s no need to explain. He knows. He’s just doing his typical white supremacist thing, trying to stir up hate and discontent in the name of his orange God Trump. Eff him.
@LadyDi51666 @TalbertSwan Just because Bishop Swan is a Christian, doesn't mean he has to be weak. What it looks like to me is that anytime a BLACK MAN speaks in a manner YOU feel that isn't acceptable, you want to hurry and attempt put them in a place where YOU feel comfortable. GTHOH with that madness.
Blocking me after an entire day of vile, racist attacks laced with anti-black stereotypes and sexual innuendo because you’re running scared that I’m calling on @wsbradio and @CoxComm to be accountable for employing a disgusting white supremacist ain’t the answer @monicaonairtalk.
@TalbertSwan Idk how Bishop Swan puts up with this fuckery on the constant daily flow of nonsense.
His practice of self peace is STRONG AF.
Sending love for being willing to even engage these disasters all the time. It's daunting just reading it.
