He never taught to passively accept mistreatment, oppression, and injustice. That’s a bastardization of Scripture.

He defied laws by healing on the sabbath and teaching in ways that challenged a corrupt system. This is why he was crucified. His death was an act of resistance against evil, not compliance to it.
