statcast released some cool batted ball metrics today. 4 of the 6 pitchers I identified in 2025 as having ideal sinkers were top 12 in forcing hitters to swing over the ball.

They recover well after putting runners on base, they allow fly balls and as a result home runs at lower rate, and they typically run lower than league average BABIPs
