@JoshTaylorFB Do we think Olu Oluwatimi could be had for a 6th round pick? Thinking maybe considering he’s on an expiring contract… He would be way better than No-Good-Jones or Gulbin. If Allegretti is out I wouldn’t feel as frightened as I do now.
Offensive play calling first half was pretty trash. Get No-Good-Jones off the team rn and why the hell do we need to see anymore of Sam Hartman. AK has already shown he’s better. #commanders#nfl
You can’t ever be mad when taking an o-lineman. Starting level offensive linemen are irreplaceable. The jump from backup nfl lineman to starters is pretty drastic. Heck I wouldn’t have even cared if they took Mauigoa at 7 to put at LG this past draft. You can’t have enough quality offensive and defensive linemen. A good 6th receiver only does you so much without others in front of him getting injured.
Like it. Needed that extra guy off the bench you feel decent about running point. Whitmore was going to be buried in a very deep and young wing group. Best of luck to Reese. No path to him playing here with the bigs we currently have. That clippers 2nd could be a sneaky top of 2nd round pick.
@Tiller56 That’s probably a bit rich. He’s been our best IDL all camp. Even if we’re going to call him a potential one year rental, I don’t think the team would have any interest in trading him for an unproven center who hasn’t even really played that position in his team in the league.
Can someone for the life of me explain why in the fuck Julian Good-Jones is still getting the starting snaps over Gulbin. Also big flop from the FO not taking that position at all seriously this offseason after seeing how bad we looked when Deiter had to come in the past two years.
That’s right. I personally would’ve been nervous taking him as an edge considering how good he looked off-ball. I think the giants made the right choice keeping him off-ball, and the jets made the right choice taking Bailey as a pure edge. Both the giants and us took off-ball linebackers that weren’t considering top “needs” for either team but the freak tangibles for both players were too good to pass up on. Im not worried about either player. The only thing I marked as potentially concerning with Sonny during draft was his tendencies to tackle high. We didn’t have the option to draft Reese so, I’m not worried about him. Only player I was comparing Sonny too was Downs. Downs is a day 1 stud. Dallas unfortunately got a dude. But I firmly believe the reason we didn’t take downs is because you can’t play safety like the early 2000’s anymore. If you look at the best safeties of the past decade you’re probably talking Derwin James, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Harrison Smith. Give me Lavonte David, Bobby Wagner, and Fred Warner all day over those guys.
@JoshTaylorFB He is probably the biggest player im red flagging in first half Josh. He gets blown up in the run game and isn’t dominate enough in pass rush to make up for it. Honestly, Ricky Barber is performing better than him atm.
