Monday is the test of a good Sunday sermon. I prayed this morning for Crossway as we live Mark 6:7-13 today. Be doers of the Word, not just hearers of the Word.
Everyone has a sin problem. Leviticus shows that sin is an issue among priests, the entire congregation, community leaders, & ordinary people. So, everyone sins & is affected by sin. The only answer is the right sacrifice that covers & atones w/ its blood. His name is Jesus!
Let’s be honest—most Americans don’t care about soccer… until it’s USA vs. the world in the FIFA World Cup. Then it’s all about Team USA. We love winning! 🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
How to watch the Coca-Cola 600:
Step 1: Watch the race intro and first laps.
Step 2: Do something else for four hours.
Step 3: Turn it back on and watch the end of the race, assuming no rain delay.
I may be biased, but I see Crossway Baptist as a church that truly loves and follows the Lord and His ways with joy. I see a group of people who regularly show their love for one another, even when it's costly. I love our church and am proud of the Lord’s gracious work.
People don’t want to hear the truth of God. Jeremiah spoke God's truth, and for it, he was beaten, arrested, and thrown into a cistern. He could have just told the people what they wanted to hear, but chose to remain faithful to God's truth. May we stay steadfast in the truth.
What did Congresswoman @AOC mean when she stated that the North should “pull up” on the South? Also, weird advice standing in a bulletproof cage. Wisdom would dictate a bit calmer rhetoric.
You can be strong, courageous, alert, and firm in the faith, but you must love. Love can’t be left out or ignored. Do everything in love. (1 for 16:13-14)
We are too comfortable with disobedience and sin. Paul told the Corinthians to “take every thought captive to obey Christ.” This is the only way because our thoughts lead to actions. If we control our thoughts through the Holy Spirit, we control our actions.
Love is evident through sacrificial, other-centered actions, not just words. John reminds us that “God loved the world in this way.” What followed was a sacrificial, other-centered act. “He gave His one and only Son.” Our salvation and redemption reveal God’s love.
