We have officially hit 400 events statewide!!
Our commitment to Iowans is clear, and I’ll bring this same commitment to hearing directly from Iowans as Governor.
Memorial Day 2026
This Memorial Day weekend has been especially unique. We visited the gravesite of Ansel Briggs, Iowa’s first governor, and attended a very emotionally moving event in Andrew, Iowa, as local people shared their love for America and honored those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for this nation.
As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of this nation, phrases from Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address echo in my head. This nation, conceived in liberty, is once again engaged in a great war testing whether we can endure. It is an ideological war that has undermined the foundations of our freedom, and we know that no house can stand without a strong foundation. Our fight is to restore those foundations in which our founders so deeply believed - that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom. We must be dedicated to this work and take increased devotion to the cause of liberty for which so many have given the full measure of devotion on battlefields around the world.
Brad Sherman
Republican Candidate for Iowa Governor
I am glad to see other candidates now trying to campaign statewide, meanwhile we hit 99 counties all the way back in January, have done nearly 400 events now, and will continue speaking directly with Iowans in the grassroots in the lead-up to the June 2nd primary, as well as for the general election, and especially when I am Governor! I will be a Governor for Iowans, not out of state mega donors or dark money interests.
All the while, Carole and I are having so much fun seeing our beautiful state and meeting incredible Iowans every day!
I am honored to have received an A rating from the NRA - the highest possible rating for a non-incumbent. I will always defend 2A rights, and my background as a hobby gunsmith and cowboy action shooter shows that there is no stronger defender of 2A rights running for governor than me.
We were blessed to be hosted last night in Osceola by our great friends Ginny and Tony Caligiuri of Boyt Harness Co! Such a great time connecting with friends and supporters in Southern Iowa!
We got a heartwarming email earlier today from 13 year-old Kaleb Clemson-Graham from Pennsylvania who collects political autographs. I was more than happy to send him one! Thanks for reaching out Kaleb!
