New city limit signs are going up around town this week, reflecting Sherman's population change as recorded in the 2020 census. The city "officially" added 5,124 people during the last decade - though that rate of growth has quickened significantly in the last two years.

Today we honored and remembered those @ShermanTexas soldiers lost in service to our great Country by placing flags by markers bearing their names in Ely Park. Taps was played as we closed the ceremony. I encourage everyone to pause this weekend to remember those that sacrificed.

I know this project has been a huge headache for our citizens, but I'm happy to report that Lamberth Road construction is finally completed!

With road conditions still very poor, trash service will not run on Thursday. Please keep your cans on the curb for pick-up Friday and Saturday.

Progress is continuing on the Lamberth Rd Bridge. Most of the concrete is poured, stone wall is up on one side, and culverts are poured and in place. My understanding is that road placement will begin shortly. Thank you so much for your patience with this project! @ShermanTexas
