So here's what everyone should for sure know: I'm a mother, I raised my son in the Mansfield community, I'm a Mansfield city school teacher of 25 years, and I'm going to do everything I can for the People of Mansfield, for my son, for my students, for their future. Go vote!
It's #ElectionDay ! There are a lot of things I want people to know about me before they make their decision, a lot of things I hoped to get across during this campaign about my ideas, my knowledge, my experience, but there is only ever so much time.
I will guarantee transparency. I will guarantee accountability. I'm a public school teacher, you know I'm not bringing conflicts of interest into the mayor's office!
From experience talking with people over the last few months, the perception is that Mansfield is corrupt, still Rotten to the Core.
True or not, you can't build a strong city without having the trust and confidence of the people.
I'm a @MomsDemand Gun Sense Candidate which means I've committed to addressing gun violence as a priority when I'm in office. We can't allow this to continue, we can't allow violence to define our city, we have to protect the lives of our children.

I have thoughts on the violence afflicting our city and what can be done about it and what I intend to do about it. Please read.

@Jim_Jordan we have had 11 homicides in Mansfield this year. We're facing an epidemic of gun violence in this city, guns have flooded our streets. You represent this city, you're my representative, and I'm asking you, what will you do?
Mansfield has spent the last decade tearing down buildings, tearing down houses, and leaving vacant lots behind. Now we find ourselves with a housing shortage. How in the world did we let that happen?
We've torn down enough, it's time to start building back up.
Connie and I just finished voting.
Grab your photo ID and make your plan to vote early next week or on Election Day. Find your early voting location at https://t.co/iq4HtsqzNB.
You've heard us say it before, but we ❤️ us some local democracy. Join us live tonight on YouTube as we talk to candidates for council, finance director, and mayor about what they intend to do should they get your vote. https://t.co/orlXbuQllv
A city is a collection of history, of people, of neighborhoods, of buildings and streets and businesses, which is truly greater than the sum of its parts.
"We can’t “nonprofit” our way out of our problems—nor can we fix them solely through government grants or market forces." - Ben Hecht of Living Cities.
That sums this campaign up well. If we want to make Mansfield the city we know it can be, it will take all of us.
"Maybe it's time for a change, I come from a different point of view because I've not been in politics."
"I was telling my eighth graders they could do anything they wanted, and I kind of felt I had to put my money where my mouth was"
Thanks @MansfieldNJ!

And I will add that @TamieUSCongress has been holding Jim Jordan to account, she is someone who wants to work with the people, not over the people, to get stuff done for Ohioans.
"Sherry Vaught, a Democratic mayoral candidate in Mansfield, had harsh criticism for the Ohio congressman as his possible speakership looms. She said Jordan has been too busy dividing the U.S. House to get any real work done for the people he represents."

Jim Jordan isn't a partner for Mansfield and he isn't a partner for America. I care about action, not talk. Our country as it is, Mansfield as it is, we need action, we need solutions, we need to work.
