Closing out Women’s month, Sherwood's Costa Rica office had a open forum on the challenges women encounter in the workspace. This exercise allowed staff to provide insight and have a thoughtful discussion that acknowledged these issues and identified ways to address them.
Last week, our Petaluma team toured wastewater facilities at @SleepingGiantBC and @HudsonVineyards. Both wineries provided insight into the onsite treatment of wastewater and how the treated water is reused for vineyard or landscape irrigation.

Our SF office signed up with @SFWater to #AdoptADrain, a new volunteer-led program for locals to monitor drainage inlets and clear debris prior to rain events. We adopted 4 drains named Sher Would, Sher Could, Sher Should, and Sher Does Drain – our staff are local #DrainHeros!
As our UC Berkeley graduate course wraps up, the students presented to a panel of industry experts their final design and engineering proposals for real world sites (e.g. Costa Rica, Trinidad, Kenya) that put forth strategies to achieve more sustainable and resilient communities.

As part of the new graduate course at UC Berkeley, Sherwood led a site visit to Google's Bayview Campus to provide insight to the campus's resilient design solutions to mitigate climate and environmental vulnerabilities.
