Kannada movie recommendation:

Avane Srimannarayana (2019), directed by Sachin B. Ravi and written by and starring Rakshit Shetty.

A wildly ambitious adventure movie that deserves way more love. Rakshit Shetty is fantastic as the eccentric, Jack Sparrow-esque/inspired Inspector Narayana, with some really great comic timing.

The world building, production design, action and BGM are phenomenal, with clever Easter eggs and cinematic references throughout. The first half especially is an absolute blast.

The treasure reveal and climax fumble a little, but the sheer craftsmanship and attention to detail make this a great watch.
