The fire has been fully controlled after 43 hours.
128 people was identified as DEAD and the numbers would keep rising after more dead bodies are transfering out from the building.
My mum has NOT been found in the dead bodies album at Day 2.
Painfully believing my mumð€
Itâs so Hong Konger to find a little bit of humour even in the darkest day.
The long process of identifying dead body began and hereâs a story shared on thread:
OP: I want to give a big applause to my smart father in law. My husband told me the identify process( through photo from the scene) was kinda hilarious (a little laughter through the pain). My father in law was found in the toilet, covered himself with two wet duvets with his ID in hand. We can tell he accepted his fate. By holding his ID, his last worry was that we might not be able to find/ identify him after the fire.
RIP the smartest old manðïž
Live footage shows firefighter standing at window & looking out. Ppl said they canât imagine what he saw at the apartment⊠One observant commenter said âaluminum window are bent from the heat, hard to imagine whatâd happen if metal scaffoldings are usedâ

âA UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter was also deployed to rescue people trapped on the roof, but quickly left after rescuing four people as it was feared that the rotating helicopter blades were making the fire worse. The role of the helicopter was later studied.â
