Brilliant news — we use a “judge for yourself” policy on items which have a best before date (not “use by” as that’s a different term). This will help to reduce wastage massively! Well done Sainsbury’s. 👏

From today, we are removing best before dates from over 100 fresh product lines, and a further 130 products including potatoes will follow. This builds on the work we've already done to remove dates from over 1,500 lines including bananas, pineapples, apples and indoor plants.♻️
