"What would you say to [Burnham] this morning.. as to what it is you're seeking from a new PM"
@ZackPolanski: ".. we are living in rip off Britain.. low wages & high bills.. there are actions Burnham could take that would start to rectify this.. rent controls.. a wealth tax"

Today fossil fuel billionaires celebrate because it's the 1st July and once again - the energy price cap is going up.
It doesn't have to be this way. Join the movement to end Rip Off Britain.

Rosebank contains enough to produce over 200 million tonnes of CO2, more than the combined annual emissions of 28 countries.
Opening up these oilfields will do nothing to improve energy security or bring down bills, as any fuels will be sold at global prices on the world market.
Thames Water moves closer to nationalisation after govt objects to rescue deal.
Govt concerned about public backlash to a deal that injects £3.35bn equity, more debt, exemption from fines and bigger customer bills.
Must end profit motive. Nationalise.

Gut wrenching to see four young people jailed for direct action against an arms supplier to Israel.
Years in prison for protesting to save lives in Gaza, with 'terrorism' used despite no jury convicting them of it.
A truly dangerous attack on the right to protest.
"Judge Johnson kept the jury in the dark of his plans to sentence the four as terrorists. This is the first time in British legal history that anyone has been sentenced as a terrorist for damaging property."
Please RT until this is both the 1st & last time.
Thank you.
These aren't protests. They're racist riots. And it's time for the government to take them seriously.
The PM should be convening COBRA and setting out a real plan to end this horrific violence and bring communities together.
Now is a time for real leadership.
The government is LYING about public ownership of water.
Today we joined Feargal Sharkey, Baroness Jenny Jones and the Dirty Business campaigners Ash and Peter to hand in a letter asking Environment Secretary Emma Reynolds to come clean.

When I told my Dad I was gay in 1995 he said something that will always stay with me. He told me about his best friend in the army that was in the closet and had children and was from a deeply religious family where the “Gay was prayed away.” My father started crying (he has only ever cried twice in my presence) and said that he found his friend hanging from the rafters in the barracks. Suicide at aged 29, three kids, an oblivious wife. He said “As long as you are safe, happy and loved that is all I want for you son. I would prefer an alive gay son to one that kills himself because he is gay.” #PrideMonth2026

It would be bad for public confidence if there was a suspicion that large corporate interests are buying access to the Government via the Tony Blair Institute.
My letter to the cabinet office. 👇🏼
We need an end to tinkering around the edges. The public have had enough of this rip off.
Andy Burnham must commit to taking water back into public ownership.
Gosh, 12k signatures of complaint to IPSO since this morning. Thank you for doing this @newscord_org , and thank you, everyone, for supporting.
