how to unrot your brain:
- read 20 pages a day (like 10,000 steps for your brain)
- don't use your phone for 2 hours every AM and 2 hours before bed
- leave home without your phone
- delete social media from your phone and only use it on your computer
- walk 10,000 steps with no phone
- ground barefoot
- meditate for 10 mins a day (silence grows new brain cells)
- get sunlight
- digital fast one day a week
- humming for your vagus nerve
- play and have a silly goose time
You should study what makes you defensive. The topic you avoid, the joke that irritates you, the question that feels insulting, the feedback you instantly reject. Defensiveness is usually the guard dog sitting in front of a weakness you have not trained yourself to face.
AI is so popular because it gives uncreative people the illusion that they are creative. It lets them skip right to the part where they get validation. It’s not only parasitic, but extremely narcissistic.
I’m in love with this sentence:
“The degree to which a person can grow is directly proportional to the amount of truth he can accept about himself without running away.”
Humanity thrived for thousands of years without AI. We can live without it. What we cannot live without is fresh water, farmers, agriculture, and land.
Stop supporting AI. It’s destroying our planet.
We are overstimulated and we don't even notice. Netflix while eating. Reels in the bathroom. Music while cooking. Podcasts on walks. We consume by default, not by intention. You keep filling every gap, then wonder why you feel foggy and unmotivated. Boredom and silence are the real growth drivers. They give you space to think and create. That's when solutions show up for problems that have been stuck for months. Leave some room.
any time i hesitate trying a new restaurant because im scared its going to be bad and a waste of money i remember bourdain’s advice that to be a foodie you must never be afraid to have a bad meal.
There are too many emails. Too many texts. Too many accounts. Too many logins. Too many apps. Too many rewards programs. Too many fundraisers. Too many appointments. Too many virtual meetings. Too many newsletters. Too many forms. Too many social media platforms. My brain hurts.
If Zohran Mamdani was a waiter ik he would go up to a table of 40 year old women and be like “are we celebrating a 21st birthday tonight ladies 😉” and they would eat it tf up and leave him a 30% tip
