I'm buying a church.

I’ve made a cash offer of £225,000 to purchase this church, which was about to close and be sold off to developers.

I'm fed up with driving past all these churches in the UK that used to thrive, support the community, and feed the homeless.

Now, just look at these beautiful church buildings.

So many are boarded up, closed down, with developers queueing up to profit from converting them into flats.

I simply can't accept that a building built to glorify Jesus for generations can be turned into something solely for profit.

So I've placed an offer on a church in my hometown.

My plan is to buy it and offer it completely free of charge, with zero rent, to a church willing to worship Jesus here and serve others.

Sole traders. Micro businesses with one or two employees. Freelancers. Plumbers. Electricians. Hairdressers. Mechanics. Accountants. Gardeners. Whatever it is, whoever they are. These are the workers that keep the economy going. Not the big global corporates.

Politicians, and those devising the rules, simply do not understand how these people live. Nobody ever even talks about the one or two people operations in Westminster.

Saturday morning in the bureaucrat’s world? Friday working from home, so nice easy day to finish off the week. Laptop closed by 15.00. Phone off for the weekend, not a care in the world. Life is sweet. Holiday coming up, mortgage comfortable, pension growing nicely.

The sole trader? Getting invoices and paperwork sorted at 6am before the children wake up. Chasing up late payments. Weighing up whether to do that last minute emergency call out, or spend time with the kids on a Saturday. Getting the diary sorted for next week. Phone goes and goes all weekend. It is never-ending. It does not stop.

It’s two different worlds honestly. The issue is that the latter entirely funds the former, and the former is hellbent on making life as difficult as possible for productive Britain.

I want to be really clear about what Restore Britain would do. Two things.

Crush parasitic Britain.

Unleash productive Britain.

First. Scrap IR35. It has created years of confusion, fear and chaos for contractors and small operators. It has pushed countless self-employed people into pointless paperwork and rigid inflexibility. Doesn’t work. It’s a right pain in the arse for millions. Scrap it.

Second, we will double the VAT threshold.

The current threshold traps thousands of small businesses just as they begin to grow. Many deliberately stop expanding to avoid the enormous administrative burden of VAT and the brutal cost hikes which drive demand away. The evidence of is obvious. Thousands hover just below the threshold, refusing to grow, hire or pay more tax. It is ABSURD.

Restore Britain would double the VAT threshold so small businesses can grow without being punished for success. This is absolutely necessary.

An important one - we would dramatically simplify the tax system for sole traders and micro-businesses (and everyone else, but that's separate).

Instead of forcing small operators through pages of complicated accounting rules designed for large corporations, we will introduce a far simplified tax regime for businesses below a certain size. Less paperwork, fewer forms, clearer rules. More money for them, less for the accountants and parasitic professional class. Sounds like a good deal, doesn’t it?

Next. We will end the endless culture of inspections and bureaucratic interference from the bureaucrats. Too many small businesses now live in fear of accidental breaches - whether it’s health and safety nonsense, employment law complexity, ridiculous data laws or constantly changing compliance requirements. The stress is immense. If you are a sole trader or micro-business acting in good faith, the system should support you, not threaten you.

Restore Britain will free them from endless regulatory suffocation. The mental health release on that is worth it alone.

Means a lot to me, this one. Restore Britain will make it easier for tradespeople to hire apprentices. This is important.

One of the biggest problems small businesses face is bringing in the next generation. The current system is too complicated, too expensive and too rigid for small firms.

Restore Britain will introduce simple, flexible apprenticeship schemes designed specifically for small businesses and trades.

Up next, we will simplify planning and licensing rules. For small builders, tradespeople and contractors - planning restrictions and local bureaucracy can delay work for months and add unnecessary costs. I detest planning departments more than I can describe in language appropriate for a Saturday morning.

These jumped-up empire-building little runts running councils across Britain will have their power stripped away from them. We will let people do business, we will let business owners run their businesses without the sneering council worker’s constant box ticking. Not complicated.

We will restore respect for the self-employed. Look at how they were treated during lockdown. Like dirt. Entirely abandoned whilst others were paid to do nothing. That must be addressed, and they must be compensated. The excluded must finally be recognised. That wrong must be rectified.

Under a Restore Britain Government, their efforts will be appreciated, celebrated and most importantly?

Rewarded.

This is the key point. Let’s not pretend otherwise.

What’s in it for me?

We will radically slash tax and raise thresholds. Tax on dividends would be hacked down so that success pays. More work, pays. Effort, pays. If the electrician does that last minute job on a Saturday, it will be worth their time. They will be rewarded, not HMRC.

Restore Britain will slash the bureaucracy, simplify the rules, cut the taxes. We will give small businesses the freedom they need to thrive, to support their families and to succeed.

Parasitic Britain will end.

Sole traders and micro businesses finally have a political party that will fight for them.

Postal voting will be abolished, other than for those in genuine need.

A full state review into past irregularities would be launched - prosecutions will follow. If a foreign national is found guilty, they will be deported.

Every foreign national would lose their right to vote, and stand, in British elections.

There is nothing controversial about that.

Those foreign nationals who can't speak English won't just lose their right to vote, they will be removed from the country.

There is one political party with the balls to end political Islam in our country.

Restore Britain is abundantly clear about what we stand for on immigration. THIS is our position. I urge you to read, and share if you agree.

Every illegal migrant will be deported. No questions asked. The boats will stop. Our 100+ page policy plan is produced and ready to go. It can be done. My position is well understood on this.

Legal migrants will be expected to work, contribute, speak our language and respect our way of life. If they don't do that, they'll be asked to leave.

If they hate us, and wish to do us harm - they will leave.

We support net negative immigration. Taking ultra-skilled migrants who will give far more than they take in small and manageable numbers, but shutting off entire visa routes from countries that are proven to supply us with miscreants and takers. The Red List.

Those foreign individuals who are here, who work hard, who contribute to society will absolutely be welcome.

Dual nationals who want to blow us up will have their British citizenship stripped, and deported. If they rape young girls, they will have their citizenship stripped, and deported.

The spouse visa system will be eased, to allow citizens of non-red list countries to join their British partners.

This is the position of the vast majority of the British people, and they finally have a political party representing that view now.

Europe doesn't have "a problem". It has THREE problems: 3 European nations are suffering from a severe "post-imperial hangover".

First, there is the United Kingdom, a nation that voted for Brexit to "take back control" only to realize it has completely forgotten how to drive.

The British identity crisis is like watching a retired lion try to adopt a vegan diet. They traded imperial confidence for an HR department’s sensitivity training. The land of Churchill is now governed by a sprawling "nanny state" bureaucracy that is more terrified of offending someone on X than it is of actual decline. The British police, once the envy of the world, now seem to spend more resources investigating "non-crime hate incidents" and painting their patrol cars in rainbow colors than solving burglaries. It is a nation desperately clinging to the aesthetics of tradition—the Royals, the pomp, the tea—while its institutions have been hollowed out by a progressive rot that makes a California university campus look conservative. They want the swagger of the 19th century but are paralyzed by the emotional fragility of the 21st.

Then there is France, the angry, chain-smoking aunt of Europe who refuses to admit she’s been unemployed for decades.

France’s hangover manifests as a permanent state of insurrection masquerading as "civic engagement." Their identity is split between a delusional elite who still think Paris is the capital of the universe and a populace that expresses its "joie de vivre" by burning down bus stops every Thursday. The French suffer from a Napoleonic complex without a Napoleon; they demand the living standards of a conquering empire while working a 35-hour week and retiring at an age when most Americans are just hitting their stride. They preach "Republican values" and aggressive secularism, yet the state has lost control over vast swathes of its own suburbs. France is essentially a beautiful, open-air museum where the curators are on strike, the guards are afraid of the visitors, and the management is busy lecturing the rest of the world on "grandeur" while the electricity bill goes unpaid.

Finally, we have Germany, the neurotic giant that has decided the only way to atone for its history is to commit slow-motion industrial suicide.

Germany’s post-imperial hangover is a moral autoimmune disease: the country is so terrified of its own shadow that it has replaced national pride with aggressive self-flagellation and recycling regulations. Their identity is built on being the "Moral Superpower," which practically translates to shutting down their perfectly functional nuclear power plants to burn dirty coal, all while lecturing their neighbors on carbon footprints. It is a nation of engineers who have engineered a society that doesn't work. The German spirit, once defined by efficiency and discipline, has mutated into a paralyzed bureaucracy where filling out the correct form is more important than the outcome. They are so desperate to avoid being "threatening" that they’ve become essentially a large NGO with an army that has broomsticks for rifles, terrified that showing any backbone might be interpreted as a relapse.
