@skiiwiddaGlee But this is being diverted to a martial issue? I’m talking about allowing women to have access to basic rights including get an education, work, vote etc, not talking about marriage which are situational issues. Supporting these rights does not belittle you as a Muslim, end of.

@skiiwiddaGlee A MUSLIM feminist would agree it is, however she would also believe it is her choice whether she chooses to also work. The problem is some cultures/societies/men would not allow women to have the simple choice to work and that freedom/right is what feminists would fight for.

@skiiwiddaGlee Because there are many cultures and societies which don’t allow women to practice these basic rights? Islam isn’t the issue here, it’s caused by humans themselves. Feminists are literally defined as people who support women right which is the same as following teachings in Islam.

@RGuznini Fighting for basic equality including the right to education, to work and to vote doesn’t limit a woman being Muslim as our religion reinforces these rights. Feminism and Islam coexist in our daily lives. Islam empowers women.
