#RutoMustGo because a 300+ Kenyans were unlawfully arrested.
#RutoMustGo because instead of taking accountability for his poor administration’s failures he deflects and resorts to gaslighting.
#RutoMustGo because state sponsored militia was sent into the protests to beat and kill peaceful protesters. To add on they looted shops and destroyed property to paint a picture that protesters were the ones responsible.
#RutoMustGo because a lot of people have been abducted for speaking against his administration.
#RutoMustGo because there has been video evidence of police brutality during the ongoing protests with an estimated report of 30+ deaths. No accountability nothing at all.
I can’t begin to imagine what’s truly like to be a Kenyan or Togolese right now living in a country where simply speaking your mind could cost you your life. Where freedom of expression and speech aren’t rights but risks. And the terrifying part is your life and safety are in danger whether you speak out or remain silent. That’s why I stand with those resisting oppression in Togo and Kenya because what’s happening there is not only humanitarian crisis it’s very evil. #FreeTogo #FaureMustGo #RutoMustGo #RutoMustGo
As I go deeper into Geopolitics I’m more stunned by the scale and blatancy of human rights violations across Africa. From abductions, killings, weaponized sexual violence and disappearances. These leaders go out of their way to dehumanize anyone who speaks out against their oppressive regimes. It’s time we come together as Africans to get rid of these western puppets. #FaureMustGo #FreeTogo #RutoMustGo
From here on outwards, if you see any Ruto or Faure Gnassingbe stooge online please do not engage. They thrive off the attention and engagements they get whether it’s agreement or outrage. Their purpose is to distract and derail meaningful conversations. #FaureMustGo#RutoMustGo
A lot of you don’t understand why solidarity is important. Oppressors thrive in isolation, they depend on the silence and division we have here in Africa. Solidarity disrupts that! It exposes the atrocities and forces the world to pay attention. So whether it’s Togo or Kenya, our liberation is interconnected. If you stay silent because it’s not your country you’re complicit and you’re giving them exactly what they want. #FreeTogo #FaureMustGo #RutoMustGo
And ‘We are all Kikuyus’ is not about ethnicity but a metaphor. It means that Kenyans are all oppressed, they are all being targeted, and they all share the burden of the broken Kenyan system. If they can frame one group as the enemy, they can do it to tribe tomorrow.
The government is falsely claiming that it’s only Kikuyus who are demonstrating, when it’s kenyans from different tribes. Clearly this is an attempt to incite tribal tensions and shift the narrative away from real issues. That’s why we’re using this hashtag to push against this propaganda and remind Kenya that it’s a united fight #WeAreAllKikuyus #RutoMustGo
