@BuggyBonn@madiscrazy@_LeoFP_@heckblazers yeah weakest doesn't mean snoozefest or skippable. and that's not nitpicking that's quite literally what part 1 is about. but i think people just need to appreciate the bits that arent just Hype moments and aura
@BuggyBonn@madiscrazy@_LeoFP_@heckblazers the first part is a snoozefest? its about a guy learning sun magic and fighting his adoptive brother turned vampire who shoots lasers from his eyes and has ice powers. what would you consider interesting?
@Daniel86Cycles@RandomBazra@Hyperblaxe we're talking about art so whether or not one thing is better than another is subjective. my point is, and has always been that the meme and your original reply was racist thats it. Religous allegory, lore or lack there of dont deny that.
@Daniel86Cycles@RandomBazra@Hyperblaxe Medieval fantasy work however the author decides it does. and no it really doesnt, seeing a group of different people in the same place you can naturally infer theyve travelled from other places, some people settiling in the new place while others visit.
@FillerAccount13@Daniel86Cycles@RandomBazra@Hyperblaxe several replies are valid theses twitter limits suck. my point still is the meme is still just based in not wanting other ethnic groups in these settings. from what your telling me the lore can make their appearances unlikely but not impossible or ridiculous thats my point.
@FillerAccount13@Daniel86Cycles@RandomBazra@Hyperblaxe YOU said theyre "not common interminglers" not me. i dont know much about LOTR so im mostly going off of what your telling me. im not saying theyd completely fuse and make mixed society just that the different cultures wouldnt be totally jarring to see together
@FillerAccount13@Daniel86Cycles@RandomBazra@Hyperblaxe Yes and then it moves away from what its based on by introducing dragons, magic, and elves. if you can take that in stride seeing other ethnic groups should not be even slightly jarring. you cant say "well this doesnt makes sense for the region" if impossible creatures are there
@FillerAccount13@Daniel86Cycles@RandomBazra@Hyperblaxe I can definitely agree people aren't that black and white, but that IS the Crux of the conversation that IS the point of the meme. It's making fun of the argument that if you can suspend your disbelief for x then why not y. event the person who replied to me didnt bring up lore
@FillerAccount13@Daniel86Cycles@RandomBazra@Hyperblaxe No the original point not about how integrated they are, it's directly comparing other ethnic groups to something as anachronistic, as you put it, to a modern day car. And yeah there's no Black nords but still diverse people intermingling everywhere even in places like Windhelm
@FillerAccount13@Daniel86Cycles@RandomBazra@Hyperblaxe The meme and the original replies are NOT about the degree of mixing they're just referring to other ethnic groups being in these settings as being comparable to a modern day Honda in terms of how bizarre it'd be to see it there. Rarely certain groups isn't the same as that.
@FillerAccount13@Daniel86Cycles@RandomBazra@Hyperblaxe I know exactly what's being explained, my original point was that trying to pretend that minorities in a fantasy setting is as out of place as a modern day car is absurd. The car quite literally has no reason at all to be there, while people of other races and cultures would be.
@FillerAccount13@Daniel86Cycles@RandomBazra@Hyperblaxe Right and they'd still be there. They still are and would be, represented. And you see how you say "moreso" here and "large population" in your other reply and not None? That's because you and everyone else knows that people mix and intersect the moment they know of othe cultures
