Following the Assam Cabinet meeting, HCM Dr. @himantabiswa addressed the media and said:

✅ The provisions of the VB-GRAM Act will be fully implemented from 1 July onwards.

✅ The Government will release ₹2,000 crore to support the implementation of the Act, with each Panchayat receiving an average of ₹1 crore for its effective execution.

In national interest, Assam has decided to ban issuance of Aadhar cards to all adults above 18 years so that no illegal can legitimise themselves.

The ST and Tea Garden community will get an extension till 31 March 2027 to enrol themselves under Aadhar.

Today, under the Eminent Personalities Outreach Campaign, I had the honour of visiting Shri Durga Ram Das Ji, a respected social worker, a retired Audit Officer, and President of Manikarneswar Devalaya, along with Hon’ble Union Minister Shri C. R. Paatil Ji and Karyakartas at his residence in Manikarneswar under North Guwahati Mandal.

We had a meaningful exchange on nation-building, social harmony, and the unprecedented development witnessed under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji. Such interactions with eminent personalities are truly enriching and motivating.

My first official visit to Dima Hasao District as Guardian Minister was marked by a comprehensive Departmental Review Meeting held at the CEM Conference Hall, Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

The meeting was attended by Shri @gorlosadebolal Ji , CEM, DHAC; Shri Mohet Hojai Ji , Chairman, DHAC; Smt. @Rupali06669431 Ji, MLA; Shri Dhriti Thaosen,District President BJP Dima Hasao: Hon'ble EMs & MACs of DHAC; Shri T T Daolagupu, IAS, Secretary, Hills Area Development, Government of Assam; Smt. Gayatri Devi Das Hyalinge, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dima Hasao; Shri Ripunjoy Kakati, SSP, Dima Hasao; Shri P.S. Jahari, Principal Secretary, NCHAC, along with senior officers and officials from various departments.

A detailed review of developmental works, flagship government schemes, infrastructure projects, healthcare, education, connectivity, and public service delivery was undertaken.

Dima Hasao occupies a special place in Assam's growth story. Guided by the dynamic and visionary leadership of Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr. @himantabiswa Ji the Government of Assam is committed to bringing transformative development to every corner of the state, including our hill districts. On my way back to Guwahati from Dima Hasao, I inspected the Nirimbangla stretch of NH-27 on the Silchar–Lumding corridor.

I am pleased to note that nearly 90% of the work has been completed. The remaining 3.4 km and a few affected stretches, impacted by natural calamities, are being closely monitored for early restoration and completion.

I have also directed the concerned ADC (Revenue), Dima Hasao, to attend a meeting in Silchar with all relevant briefings so that pending issues can be resolved at the earliest.

Improved connectivity will further strengthen development and ease of travel across the region, and for that, #TeamAssam remains fully committed.

As part of the Eminent Personalities Outreach Campaign, I had the privilege of visiting the residence of Shri Dhajya Nath Baruah Ji, a respected social activist and senior BJP karyakarta from Silsako under North Guwahati Mandal, Jalukbari.

Along with Hon’ble Union Minister Shri @CRPaatil Ji, I spent quality time with him and his family members. Met with the delegates of the All Assam PHE Asthayee Sramik Karmachari Parishad, State Committee today and received a memorandum highlighting the concerns of temporary workers, volunteers and Jal Mitras associated with the Public Health Engineering Department.

Had a detailed discussion on issues relating to their welfare, service conditions and long-pending grievances. I listened carefully to their concerns and assured them that the matters raised will be examined with due seriousness.

I also assured the delegation that I will bring their concerns and issues to the notice of Hon'ble Chief Minister Dr. @himantabiswa Ji for appropriate consideration.
