Yesterday I chatted to an investor.
He said it would be very tough for me to find big money because I am too honest, and investors interpret honesty as deceit. What the hell man?

And I must stop being so willing to explain things and stop trying to give context on everything because it appears like I'm trying to hide something.

I've been called deceitful so many times in my life, it makes me sick.

He said that I need to become a better liar so that I can present bigger numbers with bigger profits.

Now Web3 makes sense to me.

It is basically Web2, but with compulsive liars and compulsive gamblers running the show.

And they are so good at lying, that people give them millions.

To hell with that.

We're building something beautiful, and if we never get an investor and have to keep bootstrapping to the point of organic income, so be it.
We won't be pressurized into scumbaggery.

I'm starting to think that this will be a community built project in its truest form.
Frikkin difficult, but it's gonna redefine Web culture when we are done.

To hell with treating communities like nothing more than exit liquidity.

Dear Diary.

Today 50 year old me learned how to animate a dropship taking off and landing in Unreal engine.

Wings turn, back door opens, and even animated the camera to follow!

Somebody quoted me $5k to do this, so I decided to just learn to do it myself.

My co-founder @rob_osp was like: 'Just push some buttons, it's easy!" 🤣🤣

And yes, you will get to play on this map!

I still need to animate the landing gear, add some thruster fx (i broke it somehow), and make the ramp go down at the second landing spot.

Then some kids need to run onto the ship, it flies to the little portal, fires some brrrt and missiles over your head at your enemies, lands, kids run into the portal, take-off to fetch more kids, rinse and repeat.
