@hopeinhimshow I'm being called out about tending to spend more time thinking of my mistakes over the week during sacrament, rather than thrilling in how He has shown up to me and will continue to do so.
@StudyWithGary All too often people don't think about how they come across. Listened to every episode since you started this crazy journey 4 yrs ago. Sometimes you pushed me to reflect deeply, and I love that! Past 2 yrs I teach Sunday School to adults, and your insights help me so much.
@StudyWithGary I've been in IT for 15+ years. DIY is a great way to go, but so is going with Dell or HP. Would love
to chat and talk specs if you want!
@FHE_Dad Our ward tries to guide the youth to select activities that are loosely themed across the 4 categories. But as for actual goals, it's not happening. Too many people don't like or struggle with goals, and if that includes leadership - forget about it.
@LatterdayDoofus Thank you. Being more humble is a major part of my personal prayers. I know my Bishop is trying his absolute best. We all have something to learn and something to share in all our opportunities to serve.
@LatterdayDoofus Struggle tons with how my Bishop operates. Had to ask SP to be released as EQP 6mos ago cause I was letting my peace & desire to attend church be affected. Wasn't the last person in WC to do so. Sister in ward w/same feelings gave amazing talk to put me in right place yesterday.
@LeilandTanner The show is about the apostles changing from their human nature through Jesus. It's a very slow process for all of us. I love that the writers are not afraid to show the humanity. The show is designed to be a Slow Burn. Jesus is The Center, but not the title character.
@GMillerJr I can hear it now, "don't put your head down, it's not time to pray!"
Love to be there for that. What an exciting day to share your love of Jesus!
@GMillerJr I'd love to hear how you'll be serving others! I enjoy trying to figure out what the Lord wants me to learn from any opportunity, even if I'm not thrilled about a specific calling.
@LatterdayDoofus I was released from EQP this last autumn. I told my wife "better not be SS teach next". God has humor! It's made me change my perspective as I try to reach and enhance those at all interest levels. I view it as my duty to make them want to study more on their own.
@GMillerJr
I'm needing a good preaching to, but I can't find the feed for the new Hope In Him Today! The web site doesn't seem to be up, can you provide an RSS link for the podcast!
@GMillerJr My best Christmases have been when I push myself WAY out of my comfort zone to serve others. One on one with inner-city or homeless.
Oh, and avoid shopping and pop Christmas music like the plague that it is.
