Abstract
The Information Age is the Great Filter. Global real-time connectivity has aligned human psychological incentives with institutional self-interest and algorithmic optimization to produce a self-reinforcing system of epistemic closure. The six interlocking pillars—attention economy as Malthusian trap, emotional gratification trap, language and education as the new control layer, media and algorithmic narrative dominance, suppression of objective science, and elite coordination via lawfare—do not operate in isolation. They reinforce one another in a geometric compression of high-dimensional reality into low-dimensional ideological attractors. This dissertation demonstrates that the absence of obvious extraterrestrial contact is not evidence of cosmic solitude but of an internal civilizational filter operating through the very technologies that promised enlightenment. Historical parallels (Soviet collapse, information explosions, WW3 since 2014, 5000-year civilizational cycles), empirical data, and contemporary patterns (Panama, Strait of Hormuz, oil monopoly forcing technological leaps, CCP capitulation, alternate energy suppression, missing scientists, healthcare theft, bussed children, BLM/Gavin Newsom/Karen Bass aid fraud, feminism and matriarchy vs patriarchy, Good Will Hunting linguistic barrier, IRGC media manipulation, suicidal empathy in youth streaming, VEM Drive and alternate propulsion suppression, real history of slavery vs current Uyghur and Christian genocides) are presented without cartoonish framing. The Filter is falsifiable: dismantle or expose the interlocking mechanisms and the closure weakens. The civilizational maturity test is the heliosphere boundary. If humanity cannot respect language, culture, or borders inside it, there is no coherent argument for why any higher intelligence would allow us beyond it. The moment is contingent. A new administration emphasizing efficiency, truth-seeking, and renewed American leadership presents a genuine historical opening. The people are closer to waking up than at any point in living memory. The question is no longer whether the Filter exists. The question is whether we possess the institutional capacity and collective will to lift it before it renders long-term civilizational projects impossible.
