Every Holi, I feel it the most. My Dadi — Amma, as we called her — made the most incredible gujiyas. Dahi bhalla, kachori, aloo gobhi sabji. A fairly standard North Indian Holi spread.
But during my entire childhood - i used to wait for those Gujiyas round the year
I find this part of judgment most interesting. It actually totally defeats the very basis on which the case was registered. Any policy when framed has to be scrutinised and then approved off by the right constitutional authorities. The CBI judge has knocked the wind out of the sail of the entire case through this paragraph.
Probably, life happens to almost all friendships. But dearest are the ones that remain, the ones that have seen me at my best and worst – those are the treasures I hold closest. They remind me that while some people are meant to walk out of your life, others are meant to stay, to be your anchors in the ever-changing tides.
And so, I raise a silent toast to the friendships that were, the friendships that are, and the friendships that will be. For it is in these bonds that we truly discover ourselves !
Why do friends part ways?
Friends, closest friends, who are like family, with whom we grow up, share our darkest deepest secrets, one day, all of a sudden, no longer exist in our life.
Why does this happen, exactly? With some we just part ways naturally, we get busy, they get busy, but whenever life gives an opportunity, we meet with the same love and emotions. But with some, there is bad blood left, which simmered for a long time before boiling over. These are the ones, to whom, we intentionally say goodbye.
Having been blocked (for so many years now), by a dear college ex-friend :P, I wonder sometimes, late at night, what he's doing. Is he happy? Did he ever think about me, about the years we shared? It's strange to think that someone who knew me so intimately is now a stranger.
We were great friends, like privy to each other’s life for good 6-7 years. And now, it is almost as if that person never existed. I can only cherish the sweet little memories that are left. We used to have this tradition of getting a dessert after every Monday exam, no matter how we did. It was our little celebration, our way of saying, 'We're in this together.' Now, that feels like a lifetime ago.
Take Responsibility
We have all heard it: ‘Be Responsible”. For others, for ourselves, for our habits, our character. Yet, how often do we avoid it—blaming others, circumstances, or fate?
I recently came across a story, of a young wealthy married woman, who was bored of her mundane life, always fantasized about getting divorced so that she could go back to her carefree ‘fun’ days.
But life struck her with tragedy, leaving her lost and miserable. She is ultimately helped by a mysterious doctor, who guided her, and asked her to step into the role life demands of her.
She resisted and countered that she wants to enjoy the light and glitter of the world. It is fun to sit in the audience, with no responsibility.
The doctor replied, “But It’s your turn to create the light you seek. Take up that centre stage.”, the doctor replied. What will I get from all of that? the woman asked curiously.
@ManjuKBye Yes, absolutely. Stop doing any business with people not speaking kannada. Don’t rent them houses, don’t sell them grocery, don’t serve them food in restaurants.
Should do a complete economic boycott, PERIOD !
8/8. Nothing indicates that the marriage of the millennium had the enthusiastic approval of ‘most Indians.’ But it certainly won (or purchased) the hearts and pockets of a nauseatingly narcissistic elite. These are not just Nero’s Guests, these are Nero’s Hosts. #ambaniwedding #psainath
@sidson92@sabkabaapaloo@Akshat_World@theScrewtiya Additionally, President is a chosen post, which generally ruling parties ‘choose’.
I agree that Reservation has still not achieved its intended purpose, so some other mechanism needs to be devised.
