Christianity runs on the idea that we can enter a Paradise that's perfect for us by denying the imperfect real world around us. The universe is indifferent to us. We are life forms that evolved to live in the world and use it's resources. But the natural world doesn't love us or care for us. If we want Paradise we have to build it ourselves.

Christianity sees the world as wrong and cursed because it does have pain, injustice, sickness, old age and death. Christians long for the day when the natural world is destroyed and replaced with a perfect habitat that's built to meet their every need. They blame their fellow human beings for the challenges of living.

I find it to be so foundationally flawed that there is no way to fix it.

What we really need to do is rediscover the wisdom of our ancient philosophers. The stoics in particular. Christianity won out by offering the mediocre masses a better deal than what other religions offered. It offers endless bliss for the low, low price of just saying that you believe in Jesus. He already paid for your ticket to Heaven, all that you have to do is take it from him. No other religion offers this something for nothing deal.

Christianity appeals to the crying child inside all of us. It seeks to put this crying child in control of our adult minds and bodies with false promises and insincere love bombing. It does so, in order to exploit us.
