We think the mystery of why Ling’s b+3 can’t be parried is solved.
It’s not because it’s an ankle or heel attack, and it’s not directly because of a backturn animation.
Some moves simply have a “can’t be parried” property.
This property is not shown in practice mode; you have to use external tools that read the game’s code to see it.
Below are some moves that can’t be parried and some that look similar but can be parried. Note that most running moves can’t be parried.
