@cidleaks@animetrends This is the opposite of what happened here. The creator got asked about their thoughts on WHA being named by fans as part of the Big 3 of the fantasy renaissance, and they answered. Those 3 have been called that by their fanbases for the better part of half a decade now.
@Fate13x14@Kairo200244@woo_wuu55047@HassanJoestar Nasu notably doesn't care at all about the popularity of characters, he just does whatever he wants, for better or worse. See: Saber being entirely absent during the entire FGO main story despite being on the forefront of every promo material.
@dreamhopping1@DireRavennn If you mean XVI, it's that for 2 hours and then imediately after the demo is over it becomes bog standard "fight bad empire and then kill god". Bait and switch entirely on the tone and setup.
@DireRavennn The way my heart dropped when the promised political thriller rapidly shifted back into "big bad man wants to eat the world". I don't have an issue with classic fantasy, but I hate rugpulls like that, especially when the "real" plot is much less interested than the promised one.
@Ronin_errante@FF8_Garden The game has cursed me with the knowledge of his "shoes" being the dumbest ones in existance. For some reason through all of my playthroughts of XII I never realized it.
@ibitsuwww@Mrhappy1227 It was on one of the 25th anniversary interviews. Essentially they said that originally the game would end at the end of WoB, but they were ahead of schedule so they started working on WoR but it became too big.Likely why there's so many generic lines instead of personalized ones
@ibitsuwww@Mrhappy1227 Well, we know that most of the WoR half of the gmae was cut from the final game for cartridge space, so a lot of us want to see the full vision of the game instead of the compromise Square had to accept.
