People seem to forget that football is about improving your squad every single year, not going backwards because of nostalgia or frustration after a few bad results.

When I look at Liverpool's attack, I see players like Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, and for me, both are more complete forwards than Núñez.

Isak gives you goals, composure, movement and intelligence. Ekitike offers technical quality, link-up play and a profile that fits modern football perfectly.

So why would Liverpool spend their time looking backwards when they already have better options available?

This isn't about disrespecting Núñez because I always liked his effort and commitment.

But effort alone doesn't win you Premier League titles or Champions League trophies.

Liverpool should be thinking about how to reach the next level, not how to recreate something that didn't fully work the first time.

For me, the conversation shouldn't be about bringing Núñez back.

It should be about building an attack that is even stronger than anything Liverpool have had in recent years.”
