Manfred meanwhile is floating with Dawn on his back. He's the only one Dawn trusts to carry her out in the water...even if the hydrophobe wouldn't normally be anywhere near the beach normally. She hates large bodies of water. But, it's way too hot in Sinnoh right now.

Megaton's floating in the water...this Steelix has always been a fiercely protective member of Dawn's group, but this is one of the few times the stubborn old snake's letting himself relax.

@Bobtree1998 Cloyster famously lost a lot of it's Special Defense in the generational transition. It's way better to hit it on the Special side than try and tackle it's 180 Defense, even if it's a NVE hit.

(One thing I've never noticed reviewers ever say about GSC is that it's designed for gamers who were already familiar with RBY. It doesn't hold your hand at all, and the Gyms themselves are designed with more strategy in mind.-

@Bobtree1998 Flareon makes a solid enough Special Attacker. It lost it's 110 Special in the generation transition, but for reference, Kingdra has 95 SpAtk. And it still has really strong Returns anyway.

@Bobtree1998 Ghost's physical in Gen 1-3 yeah. That's why Flareon and Crobat ran Shadow Ball in Gen 3; they could get away with it because 130 and 95 were better attacking stats than 95 and 70 respectively

(Also helps that Morty's Pokemon don't murder themselves on accident with Curse in HGSS)
