4: My final straw was the death of my 9-year-old son Harvey.Removed from the urgent list without our knowledge or consent. He died on 29 July 2025. And he's not the only one. No child should die like my son. What will YOUR final straw be?
You know what I think is broken
That children of working parents have to pay for holiday club, breakfast club and after school club, in order to be able to keep working when children are off school etc
But the children of parents who don’t work, get those things for free even though they don’t need them because they’re home and can look after their children
These ‘benefits’ should be for those who work full time. Not the other way round
Medical misogyny is so real. Yesterday my sister noticed her period pain was more intense than usual. So we went to the hospital. In the emergency room, there was a man with slight abdominal pain who was given Percoset and immediately sent his test to the laboratory, and when the doctor came to check on my sister, he said, “It’s just your normal period pain & symptoms” then gave her Ibuprofen and sent us home…. Today her symptoms got worse, and we went again, and guess what, it was an ovarian cyst!...they conducted an ultrasound on my request! .....a man with abdominal pain is more serious to them apparently and A woman’s pain is normalized like women are supposed to suffer!
Funny how most restaurants are full of male chefs, but at home it's magically a woman's duty... basically when it's an unpaid job, it's for women. when it's profitable suddenly it is a man's passion.
I'm going to piss some men off with this, but the reason a lot of your parents and grandparents stayed married so long is because the women in those generations were financially trapped. When a woman makes her own money, the only thing a man can truly offer her is how he treats her.
That's why there's a male loneliness epidemic.
The man who murdered his child yesterday in Ballyfermot had just a few months previously been in a stand off with armed Gardaí at a hotel when he threatened to murder his child.
Túsla gave the father back custody anyway, determining that family re-unufication fixation was more important than the child's safety.
And look what happened.
Túsla are one of the most disgusting incompetent and corrupt civil service agencies in all of Europe.
Túsla get children raped and killed.
I was behind an elderly woman in line. She was moving slow, watching the total go up. When the cashier said the amount, she got quiet and started taking things out of the bags coffee, a box of cookies, the 'extras.' She kept the cat food and the bread. I waited until she swiped her card for the basics. Then I told the cashier, 'Put the rest on my bill.' The lady tried to stop me, saying she didn't need charity. I smiled and said, 'Ma'am, you remind me of my grandma, and she’d haunt me if I let you put back the cookies.' She laughed and let me do it.
Respecting our elders means making sure they have a little joy in their grocery bags.
I just found out that the most prominent hormone when you're on your period is testosterone. So when you're acting emotional on your period you're literally acting like a man
Unbeatable moment from the toy show 😢 Young man Keelan with Tourette’s breaks down when his hero Lewis Capaldi sends him and his pal a video message.
The essence of the toy show 👏🏽

When women get a cervical biopsy - which involves cutting off a small piece of the cervix - we are offered no pain management whatsoever, not even a numbing agent. The cervix is sensitive; even having it hit during sex can be extremely painful. Having a piece of it cut off without any kind of anesthetic is one of the most painful things I’ve ever experienced, and I have endometriosis. We are not given any painkillers afterwards either; not even an ibuprofen. Women’s pain, after all, has always been the foundation of gynecology.
Men, on the other hand, are fully sedated for prostate biopsies, which are the closest equivalent, and are sent home with prescription pain medication and doctor’s orders to take the next few days off from work.
I remember whenever I was late to primary school and I'd be like "my parents made me late", my teacher would say some dumb shit like "it's your own responsibility to make sure you're here on time" bro I'm 7 years old tf do you want me to do? Drive the car?
As the vote goes to cabinet today for the inquiry in to care of children with Spina Bifida and scoliosis, I want this image etched in their mind.
A simple closed door.
Harvey’s bedroom door.
A door I cannot clean because those marks at the bottom are from him bursting through it in his wheelchair.
Bursting through, full of joy, full of life.
This door should be open.
Sounds of laughter should still be echoing from that room,
But it remains closed.
