Mono Red Prowess 0.1

Will be testing on arena this week. Im really excited about the 1 drops and tomik. I was playing around with a fling verison of this list, but I think a true Mono-red list is better into an uncertain meta.

Ive only been playing limited since Aetherdrift, have more veteran players ever seen a card with this high a Win % ?

@EI_Fuerte They are, lowkey you can get away with running 2 on a budget, but they are a great investment piece.

Otherwise, 4 spirebluff canal, 4 steam vents, and 2-3 multiversal passages is enough to splash some blue

First days thoughts, these three cards play really well together, a part of it is that slickshot is just a really great card but reliably having 2 spells to trigger it with is sick.

Pompous battlemage is as good as you think it is as seen in the izzet challenge lists. pyre is eh

Theres been hard misses for me in the series starting from its inception season but it feels like it gone from an 80-20 good to meh ratio to a 20-80 good to meh ratio.

Very behind the curve here but I just watched the latest season of Love, Death and Robots and its so so bad. Theres some very visually impressive episodes and I think the 'Zeke' and '400 boys' episodes were fun, but the the rest were boring to annoying.

@pabsdominguez Chandra feels like a good sideboard card to replace Aetherdrift Cahndra and Roku that older Red Deck Wins lists were playing.

Way of the pyromancer is a strong card, but it feels like minis tempo when you could be plotting a show off or setting up tomik.

Izzet prowess lists that just added pompous BM and are winning look like they could be better, im not a fan of the crab top end when I played a lot of prowess earlier this year.

Some more observations for the lurkers!

1. Tome Blast is real, do not sleep on

2. Pyre Rhymer's spell is an Instant, dont be afraid to rip it as a combat trick

3. Hero's Hangout rocks, it let's you keep risky 1 landers.

4. Lifegain isnt a worry, sideboard 4 Lynx and 3 dinos

@JackLPup Im really not a fan of Boltwave, its so crucial to be able to target things other than face, especially in in this meta where its so important to respond to the 2 drop they play or you just die

I would honestly rather play lightning strike, shock or even Boulder Dash here
