So for those not understanding why I believe PTC is monetizing shiny legendary Pokemon, here is a quick timeline of events:
In gen 1, wild shiny Pokemon and female Pokemon at a 1:8 are shiny locked. Gen 1 didn’t really focus randomizing IVs of wild Pokemon like gen 2, but

@Yuuki_x_game There are also the shiny Pokemon hunters who will have issues. Several shiny Pokemon players could only get in the 3DS games. The way PTC is most likely going to fix this is by putting pokeball vivillon and shiny Celebi (rereleased) in paid research & others in Pokemon Go raids

@Light_88_ There is absolutely no reason except for being extremely predatory especially to rural players to make it so when Bank shuts down, Pokeball Vivillon, shiny Celebi, shiny Poipole, and shiny Type: Null will end up exclusively monetized in Pokemon Go especially the loot boxes.

@matope21724 Even if it is, there is absolutely no reason for them to exclusively monetize shiny mythical Pokemon in Pokemon Go. They used to give these Pokemon out for free over mystery gift or in older titles, let players soft reset for them. It no longer feels special when they are P2W

@Shi_Pool They criticize me for saying if I can’t get the shiny legendary Pokemon in time, I will either just hack them in or buy them off of eBay. The loot boxes for a chance to get them in Pokemon go for rural players can easily end up hundreds of dollars if the player is unlucky.

@dbzebra2 Don’t forget eventually that SwSh and the DLC will also one day get delisted whenever Nintendo decides to delist all of the Switch1 titles and their DLC along with shutting off the internet for Switch1 leaving gen 5-7 shiny legendary Pokemon exclusively monetized in Pokemon Go.

This is the reason why I am quitting Pokemon. Pay to win loot boxes in Go completely defeat the thrill of finding a Pokemon and instead feel like gambling at the casino.

@sliceofblu I used to love it as well especially shiny hunting legendary Pokemon. Now they treat shiny hunting legendary Pokemon like either sellable property just like Hunter J did in DP or team rocket or they are like a pay for a chance to win loot box booth at a carnival. It frustrates me

@rcQ2hvS1cf86920 Also boycott buying shiny legendary and shiny Pokemon in Pokemon Go as well to discourage that monetization of shiny legendary Pokemon and put our foot down against shiny Celebi, shiny Type: Null, and shiny Poipole being exclusively monetized in Go after bank closes.
