Happy Velikden (Orthodox Easter) from the Shiplake boarding community! Today Rada, our head of @ShiplakeGilson house, shared her tradition of painting eggs 🥚 here are the results! #ShiplakeInclusive#великден2021
Last week we launched Gilson's Virtual One Positive Thing Initiative.
The idea is for all Gilson pupils and teachers to share one positive thing that has happened to them during the week.
Feel free to join in and use the hashtag #gilsonpositivething.
And to finish off, we have a very inspiring quote from Mrs Krause:
'After all, the unexpected, even the tragic, can have a transformative power that goes beyond the hedonic or eudaemonic. As a great Leonard Cohen song says, it's the cracks that let the light come in.'
We are pleased to present to you The 12 Days of Shiplake! A twist on the well-known Christmas carol, providing a little insight into the last term! Thank you @_pauljones and all involved. #ShiplakeChristmas#ShiplakeFamily

A few weeks ago, the Shiplake College girls undertook the challenge of completing 1000 km via running, walking and cycling in order to raise £1000 to sponsor a child in Africa, also supported by Gap Africa Charity.
We can proudly say we're already half-way there (~562.6 km).
