A busy afternoon in Year 6! We’ve also had Sky from the Connect Mental Health Team visiting us for the first of four sessions to support us in our transitions to our new schools.
We’ve had a vital session with Kerry from Northumbria Police this afternoon linked to keeping ourselves safe and protected online. Lots to consider and take on board moving forward.
What a wonderful morning Year 6 had singing at The Salvation Army 🎶 We recognised how impactful volunteering can be for others; we truly brightened up the day of those who listened to us sing 🥰
Our Year 3 Parents Reading Project started last night and we had a lovely session - we chose a book to read together with our parents and are very excited to start creating our reading scrapbooks linked to our reading. I can’t wait for next week already! @ShiremoorYr3
Group 2 had a great session with Miss Cockerell this morning linked to our knowledge of dealing with medical issues using a range of First Aid strategies ⛑️ 🩹 🚑🩻
Yesterday, we bid farewell to the world’s best teaching assistant - Mrs Clarke. She has supported us for so long in Year 6 and helped so many children over the years; she is going to be a real miss on our team. She left us this beautiful basket of books to keep reading for her 🥰
