If a tag number is generated every time a piece of luggage is loaded onto a plane, I don’t get how it could be this difficult to track the bags with the information in a Property Irregularity Report that @airindiain themselves generated

Day 25 of #lostluggage and still no definite information from @airindiain. Tried everything including calling in favours, but no idea what happened to our bags. Can you imagine the disarray this company must be in if even jugaad doesn’t work? @DGCAIndia @MoCA_GoI 1/2

Nobody answering calls, left innumerable voice mails and no replies, conflicting information from @airindiain says luggage was in @fly2ohare, then it was in @EWRairport, then it was in @FlyGRFord but nobody told us when it reached or when it was sent back to who knows where 2/2

The bags were sent from Chicago to GR on a @united flight, but they cannot track it because we only have Air India bag tags.

So the latest development is that @airindiain sent our luggage from Chicago to @FlyGRFord on 27th Aug and nobody contacted us. This transfer happened while we were going crazy calling AI and writing emails begging for updates 1/2 #lostluggage

Meanwhile, @airindiain keeps reassuring us that they are making this their top priority, and we find out that our bags have been in 3 different states in the last 3 weeks- New Jersey, Illinois, and Michigan, and we still don’t know where they ended up. @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia

Continuing the #lostluggage story, I had to call in favours and ask around, myself, finally found out that the luggage reached @EWRairport on AI105 on 24th Aug. So it’s been sitting unattended for 21 days and @airindiain gave me no updates at all. @MoCA_GoI @DGCAIndia 1/2

2/2 It’s been 18 days of constantly trying to contact Air India, all in vain. I have yet to receive any updates or get anyone to reply to my emails. I never expected much from Air India but they have reached a new low of inefficiency #AirIndia #lostluggage

It’s been 18 days since I packed up almost all my earthly possessions and moved to the other side of the world with my 1 year old son. I was told that all my luggage has been misplaced by @AirIndiaAI when I landed at @fly2ohare O'Hare International Airport in Chicago. 1/2
