@karnakcat@ember_paradox If I recall the ruling had a condition that it was AI art without Human editing cannot be copyrighted, meaning in theory you can generate something and make minor edits to it and then it is copy right-able, I could be wrong though.
Also X artist have a habit of pouncing on anyone who do not have set up X or Twitch page. When I first tried Vtubing an first few X followers I got were all Artist all trying to get me to Commission them till I finally did and it to be redone twice and it still didn't work.
So many people are out here bashing on Leaflit, severely criticizing her for her "use of AI", and yet none of you even considered what she's actually doing with this new software she developed.
She's giving people an opportunity they didn't have before and she's giving it to them for FREE.
Despite what some people like to try and pretend, getting started in vtubing is not as cheap and as simple as they claim. Yes, there are free vtuber models out there (I started my vtubing career using one as a matter of fact), but they are significantly limited in number and style (not "hundreds" like some people lie about), to say nothing of the fact that there are practically ZERO free options for male vtubers.
Leaflit is giving those people who have been wanting to try and become a vtuber a cheap and alternative option to get started in this space, and she is doing it for FREE. Vtweeters who claim they're about to debut but never do and instead bitch and moan on X now have no excuse for not actually debuting and streaming because they now have a free option. The fact that people are criticizing her for this is not only insane, it is objectively stupid.
It also is because of a very simple reason: They're terrified of the competition. What most people that get into vtubing don't account for is that your model, be it Live2D or PNG2D like Leaf's software, affords you roughly 5-10 minutes of attention from any new viewers. Have a gorgeous, detailed, big titty anime girl or a ripped, Adonis anime guy alone will NOT make you a popular streamer. If you don't offer an interesting, engaging, or entertaining stream within that first 5-10 minutes, no matter how pretty, handsome, or sexy your model is, that viewer is gone and looking for someone else to be entertained.
THAT is what is at the core of this. People that are so upset at Leaflit for doing what she is doing are realizing that they can't simply trade on their model's looks alone anymore to retain viewership. They have to actually be fun, smart, engaging, and flat out ENTERTAINING now and they're being forced to admit to themselves that this is something they are not...
...and boy do they HATE this. So, because they hate themselves for not being able to accomplish their "dream" because they simply aren't cut out for it, they'll instead redirect their self-hatred towards the one person who is actively doing everything she can to help people. That way they can blame someone else and not admit to their own failures.
And the artists bitching about this... There has been a significant problem with regards to people being scammed by artists for so long, to say nothing of artists who blacklist clients simply because of their opinions, is it any surprise the general populace looking to get into vtubing would welcome an alternative and FREE option?
So keep coming at Leaf for being a brilliant and amazing woman who is doing so much to help other people in this space. She's not going to stop and you can be damn fucking sure I will NEVER stop having her back.
Keep typing quangos, this should be fun.
@ember_paradox I would also like to point out, notice all those Artist and Riggers who are making Customizable Vtuber models? Ya there is no male version yet that I have seen so if guys want one they have to pose as a girl. I know there are less men in the Vtubering Sphere but still.
Countless military servicemen and women have given their lives, for hundreds of years, to ensure that we retain the freedoms we so very often take for granted. Were it not for these incredibly brave men and women, we would not even have this day of remembrance, nor would we have the freedom to express our gratitude in a forum such as this.
Today, we honor the fallen who took an oath and made the ultimate sacrifice to protect and defend the safety and freedom of our nation and all of its people. To all whom are no longer with us but may be looking down from the great beyond, I say to you:
This We Will Defend
Semper Fidelis
Fair Winds and Following Seas
Aim High … Fly-Fight-Win
Semper Paratus
And most important of all... thank you, we will NEVER forget.
Okay @YouTube and @TeamYouTube WTF?!?!? Can you please explain to me why I'm getting a Guideline strike on my channel for my latest react to @shoe0nhead and @SmugAlana's video about Hasan for SEXUAL HARASSMENT?!?!? I didn't sexually harass ANYONE in that reaction! Can you please have a human being look at this!
🚨 Exposing California's corrupt "Stop Nick Shirley Act", instead of going after the fraudsters California is now going after the people exposing the fraud.
This bill AB 2624 will:
- Criminalize journalists with misdemeanors, $10,000 fines, imprisonment, and content takedown
- Let immigrant based NGOs' funding be confidential
- Take away freedom of the press from journalists
- Protect any "immigration support services" information from being public (healthcare, legal services, etc)
This bill was created by the Attorney General's WIFE Mia Bonta to stop fraud from being exposed. Please like and share this video everywhere! By trying to silence and intimidate journalists, they are trying to hide the truth from you. EXPOSE ALL THE FRAUD.
🚨 HOLY CRAP! Nick Shirley FOLLOWED the California Speaker of the House and a Senator for pushing the Stop Nick Shirley Act, which CRIMINALIZES anti-fraud journalism
They were stumbling, panicked, REFUSING to acknowledge that levying up to $50K fines for journalism is TYRANNY
SHIRLEY: "Speaker Rivas...AB 2624? Is there a conflict of interest with Mia Bonta, and her husband being the ATTORNEY GENERAL?"
RIVAS: "I don't know." *Runs into car* 🤯
SHIRLEY: "These people won't even answer the questions."
Funny thing: in October of 2024, Mujin actually did another video on a Japanese cheating scandal that hit almost the exact same storybeats.
>Popular streamer ("Unko-chan"/Kato Junichi) hooks up with female e-celeb (popular JAV actress "Ai Hongo")
>10+ year age gap
>Affair is publicly exposed
>Streamer denies any romantic involvement
>Female e-celeb issues a public confession and apology to the public and streamer's wife
>Female e-celeb exposes that, yes, it was an affair
>Female e-celeb claims that she was lied to about his relationship status (she was told that he had a wife but that they were already divorced)
>Female e-celeb states that she is going on hiatus and disappears from socials
>Streamer finally admits to the affair but is met with bizarre approval from his audience (like XQC having an Oogway moment upon hearing of Sykkuno's scandal)
>Streamer continues streaming as if nothing happened
By the end of the video, Mujin does state that "some real lives were ruined" as a result of the sleazing around, and he expresses chagrin and perplexity at the fact that Unko was not only forgiven but actively rewarded for being a scumbag who "lied and manipulated multiple women".
However, notably absent from the video is the heavy-handed framing/implication that Unko is some sort of public threat, "master manipulator" or "predator." He was just presented as a cultural oddity: a Japanese sleazeball who got away with it, however distastefully so. Unko was framed as a man of poor character who was enabled (unknowingly) by an oblivious woman, and enabled (knowingly) by a perplexingly large audience.
Now contrast that video with the Sykkuno one.
The latter is presented akin to being some sort of sexual misconduct SCP.
However, the sidepiece/s in the latter not only exposed themselves for being the ones to initiate contact with the streamer, but haven't taken (voluntarily or otherwise) any sort of personal penalty in deference/apology to the woman who stands apart as the one unquestionable victim in all this (the girlfriend who was cheated on in the first place).
Why is the framing so different, then, if the story is so similar? Why is the sidepiece's alleged victimhood stressed so much more?
Is it your personal closeness to this story? Is it 'the CCV of consent?' Ai Hongo was one of the most popular JAV actresses at the time of the Unko affair (and she was also cheating on a boyfriend of her own), but she too "lied to" and "manipulated" along the exact same lines as Sykkuno's accusers are bringing up now.
People are expressing skepticism of the reporting on the basis of the work itself, not just the person making it. When you respond with ad hominems, that does not speak to belief in the consistency of said reporting.
What kind of retort is "I bet you have a secret mixed-race relationship" to "your narration is unreliable"?
It genuinely seems like you may have been goaded into making a story by people who sold you on the prospect of breaking one.
@darlingstrawbie You and Rev show up in a few other cool music videos, I would checkout Truthseekers by
