Lieutenant General Andrus Merilo, Commander-in-Chief of the Estonian Defense Forces, listens intently to “Madyar,” commander of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces. All senior Western military leaders need to make the pilgrimage to Ukraine to learn the new realities of warfare.
@GrandpaRoy2 As an Estonian, it's depressing, honestly. Everyone's afraid of the possible invasion, but preparations are proceeding way too slowly. Government ratings are very low so they are also very risk averse.
@Knightly_Hist Even samurai menpo with nose piece reduces visibility quite a bit. Last time I wore one, I couldn't see my sword hanging from the belt. When I tried to look down, neck guard got in they way so I just had to feel the handle. I can't even imagine wearing European closed helm.
During Sengoku period and before, Japanese fortresses didn't have great white main keeps and massive stone-piled ramparts. Instead they cleverly utilized mountainous landscapes and wooden palisades. Difficult as hell to conquer.
