@NitinNabin@blsanthosh@gupta_rekha
This is what is wrong with this city. The wrongs of the past are haunting the present and the future. @SauravDassss You wanted accountability? You will get it in BJP. But also, look in your own backyard too. Fully stand with @gupta_rekha
I have said this before also, people will appreciate the government when work is done where they live. Right now, while the government is doing what it can, issues such as beautification, maintenance, garbage dhalaos, pot holes, are plaguing Delhi colonies. @gupta_rekha
@MCD_Delhi@LtGovDelhi@gupta_rekha The roads are not being laid after constant complaints. We were told work order has been issued but nothing is happening. This is A2 block, Safdarjung enclave. It’s unsafe to walk, drive and a fundamental right to have a smooth road.
Unpopular opinion on the Delhi PG collapse:
I think blindly blaming MCD or the government for every building collapse is stupid.
Seven people have died. Someone should absolutely be held responsible if laws were violated, officials knew about it, or corruption was involved.
But there is a larger question nobody seems to be asking
Imagine someone enters a house in Delhi and shoots a person because of a personal rivalry.
Will we immediately say, 'What was Delhi Police doing?' What exactly could the police have done?
Police can control organised crime. They can dismantle gangs and mafias. But they cannot put one policeman inside every house to make sure nobody murders anyone.
The same logic applies to buildings
Delhi has lakhs of old buildings. Thousands of houses have been converted into PGs. Many were built 30, 40, 50 years ago. Some have five or six floors built by local contractors.
Do people seriously expect MCD engineers to continuously inspect every private building and predict which one might collapse?
For the sake of argument, suppose they somehow inspect every building.
They find 50,000 buildings structurally unsafe. Now what? Demolish all 50,000?
Where will those families go? Who will rebuild their houses? Who will pay for it?
Government is responsible for making and enforcing reasonable safety regulations. Owners are responsible for not playing with people's lives. Officials should be punished if they knowingly ignored violations or took bribes.
But expecting the government to guarantee that every privately owned building in a city of 20 million people will never collapse is not accountability.
It is fantasy. No government can eliminate risk completely.
@gupta_rekha@DCSOUTHZONE Please look at the state of colony road in A2 block, Sardarjung enclave, 110029. Many people have fallen. Half the colony road is like this. Please do something
@bainjal@AmitShah Rekha Gupta is doing a good job. They have inherited the government which was in shambles. The whole year has went into correcting the things which AAP had mismanaged. We need to give her time. These r all issues which are on account of past negligence. But yes, lots need to done
@DilliDurAst Before blaming the teachers, one should look at the avg pay they are receiving. Given the politics around school fee, it really is a noble cause to teach with a median pay of 20-30k pm in Delhi. It's time we consider education as a profitable business, the fees should be hiked.
Two equally thuggish men have a fight. Why does one face crazily draconian sections of the law not imposed by the police but, by a twitter jury & belligerent caste warriors? The case won’t stand in court but is this the rule of law & equality under the law?
"LET'S DO 1 VERSUS 1"
HAS DELHI POLICE SURRENDERED TO JUST ONE VERSION? WHAT ABOUT THIS VIDEO VERSION?
Prosecute Swatantra Bhardwaj by all means for attacking Kumar. But will the Delhi police consider this video featuring "victim" Sanjay Kumar made on July 24. This video has surfaced as CJP protestors have successfully pinned down the police into arresting Bhardwaj. But in this July 24 video Bhardwaj's "victim" Sanjay Kumar appears to say that the injury to his head was caused "unintentionally." Sanjay Kumar also says Bhardwaj should consider himself lucky because had the police not arrived he would have been worse off. Kumar also dares Bharadwaj to a 1-VERSUS-1. Kumar's minor daughter has come out to clarify on his behalf but her version only invites more questions.
Now, will this July 24 video, along with the competing accounts and the medical evidence cited by Delhi Police also form part of the investigation? Or is the state happy to CAPITULATE AGAIN?
@MCD_Delhi@DCSOUTHZONE@gupta_rekha@upadhyaysbjp The colony road in A2 block, Safdarjung enclave, 110029 remain un-repaired. We were told WO has been issued but no update. It's a nuisance, safety and pollution issue.
India’s exemplary GDP growth of 7.8% during Q1 of FY 2026-27 is a herculean feat.
The collective strength of our people ensured India delivered such growth despite oil price shocks and supply chain issues in the midst of global uncertainties.
Doomsayers were doomed and India bloomed…yet again!
Indian economy growing from strength to strength against global odds Under Modi govt.
Once again, the Indian economy has trumped global uncertainties and secured a GDP growth of 7.8% in Q1 of FY 2026–27. This stands as a testament to the visionary leadership of Modi Ji, which has filled our nation with resilience to emerge successful regardless of how severe the global storm is. My heartiest congratulations to every citizen on this remarkable achievement.
