Praggnanandhaa R. picked up exactly from where he had left off in Norway! He scored 8.5/11 to win the individual gold medal on board 1 at the FIDE World Rapid Team Championships 2026. The Indian GM managed to beat Alireza Firouzja, Shant Sargsyan, Vladislav Artemiev, Hans Niemann, Arjun Erigaisi and Aydin Suleymanli. What an incredible performance. Pragg only lost 1 game at this event - that was in round 1 against Bilguun Sumiya. Apart from that he was almost flawless. Although Chess Gurukul, finished 5th and couldn't win a medal, Pragg's power packed performance is definitely something for the entire team to rejoice!

India has restored 21.76 million hectares of degraded and deforested land between 2011 and 2020, achieving nearly 84 per cent of its Bonn Challenge target of restoring 26 million hectares by 2030, according to a report by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
