UPDATE on Sharmistha’s Case

Sharmistha has been placed under judicial custody, meaning she is being sent to jail for at least the next few days while legal proceedings continue.

Here’s what happened:

Police custody was denied: The court did not allow police to keep her for interrogation or further detention.

Instead, she was placed in judicial custody, which means she’ll be held in a regular jail - not a police station.

Her legal team applied for bail, but the court denied it.

They also asked the judge to consolidate (or “club”) all the current legal complaints (FIRs, or First Information Reports) against her - including both known and possibly future ones - so the case can be handled as one matter. The judge has said they’ll consider it.

As of now, 5 FIRs (official criminal complaints) have been filed against her for allegedly “offending Muslims.”

In short, Sharmistha is being treated like a TERRORiST for speech, denied bail, and sent to jail - all for criticizing Pakistani terrorism and angering Islamic mobs online.

🚨 ARRESTED FOR SPEAKING THE TRUTH

22-year-old Hindu law student Sharmistha was arrested by Kolkata Police - not for any crime, but for criticizing Pakistani terrorism after dozens of Hindus were executed in Kashmir.

The Indian state traveled over 900 miles to arrest her, while Muslim jihadis who threatened to r*pe and behead her remain free. Her only “crime” was condemning jihad terror. She is now being prosecuted under de facto Islamic blasphemy laws - in India.

She had already endured a brutal campaign of abuse.
After posting a video condemning the April 22 Pahalgam massacre, where Hindus were shot point-blank by Lashkar-e-Taiba-backed terrorists, Sharmistha was bombarded with threats of rape, lynching, and beheading.

Mob-style campaigns in India and Pakistan, led by radical groups demanded her arrest or threatened mass unrest. Prominent Muslims and political leaders fueled the mob instead of defending her right to free speech.

Under growing pressure, Sharmistha deleted the video and issued a public apology. But it wasn’t enough.

Kolkata Police, instead of protecting her, raided her location without a valid warrant and dragged her to court.

The terrorists who inspired her outrage are still free. The jihadis who threatened to rape and murder her - still untouched.

This is not justice.
This is capitulation to Islamic mob rule.
This is how secular India dies - not with a bang, but with a bow.

The world must see this for what it is:
