Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Major Abhilasha Barak on being named the UN Military Gender Advocate of the Year, praising her exemplary service and India's longstanding contribution to United Nations peacekeeping missions.

Major Barak, who serves as an Engagement Team Commander and Gender Focal Point with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), received the prestigious recognition for advancing gender perspectives in peacekeeping operations.

In his message, PM Modi said the honour reflects Major Barak's dedication and serves as an inspiration for young Indians, particularly girls aspiring to serve the nation and humanity.

पाकिस्तान कब्जे वाले गिलगित-बाल्टिस्तान में करा रहा चुनाव, भारत ने फटकारा

अवैध कब्जे वाली जगह पर पाकिस्तान चुनाव का स्वांग रच रहा है, जिसको लेकर भारत ने उसे जमकर सुनाया. पाकिस्तान के इस प्लान का कड़ा विरोध जताते हुए भारत ने कहा कि पाकिस्तान अपने अवैध कब्जे वाले सभी क्षेत्रों को जल्द खाली कर दे. शुक्रवार को विदेश मंत्रालय (MEA) ने कहा कि गिलगित-बाल्टिस्तान में 7 जून को होने वाले तथाकथित 'आम चुनाव' पाकिस्तान के अवैध कब्जे वाले भारतीय क्षेत्र में कराए जा रहे हैं.

जब विमान ने इजरायल के तेल अवीव शहर में लैंड किया, तो केबिन से अपना बैग निकालते समय मेरी नजर दिल्ली से यात्रा कर रही एक मध्यम आयु वर्ग की भारतीय महिला पर पड़ी, जिसके चेहरे पर एक बेहद प्यारी मुस्कान थी. उसके साथ वैसी ही दिखने वाली एक और महिला भी सफर कर रही थी. विमान से उतरकर जब हम इमिग्रेशन काउंटर की लंबी कतार में खड़े हुए, तो हमारी बातचीत शुरू हुई. उन्होंने मुझसे पूछा कि क्या मैं इजरायल में रहती हूं? मैंने जवाब दिया, नहीं मैं यहां एक आधिकारिक काम से आई हूं. इस पर उन्होंने मुस्कुराते हुए कहा कि मैं यहां रहकर काम करती हूं.
