@sgprutgers88 I agree with this! During this class, I have been able to notice all the small tech changes happening around us and notice how it is making a difference in not only my life but others as well. Such as simple things such as Netflix looking closely at who is sharing passwords.
@fianna31269780 This is possible but I think we will need people there needs to be a way for us to make money. I definitely see more skills for us to be needed to work in areas as tech develops. Humans and robots work side by side rather than as enemies.
@DCIMisabellaL I agree the pandemic really changed the way we had to communicate, and tech had made it easier for us to do that. It did blur the lines as we became engulfed in this world since we had nothing better to do that stay connected.
#DCIM353McCormick My biggest takeaways from the course would be how much relationships have changed and how we communicate with others. Over the past decade, we have evolved so much and with the constant change in tech, we will see new ways to communicate in the future with AI.
@rucatbahamondes I agree! Work and home have developed that because of the pandemic and it had made companies realize that working at home can save them money and make it easier for people which is half true because lines are crossed and so has expectations.
@jpowers2022 I agree! These two are important as they can be mixed up. Continuity is more of using both old and new tech while disruptive changes completely how a society is doing a task like communication.
@fianna31269780 I agree! I think we will have to give an example and probably will have to relate to how it was disruptive and what came before this which had a similar relationship
#DCIM353McCormick I think the exam will ask about the 3 ways that the 2000s affected people's daily lives will be included. They changed the way a generation turned out to be in a drastic way.
@madisonrobes35 Its crazy how we make our lives run out of the palm of our hands and now our homes too. We find these smart homes normal but the amount we rely on them to do simple tasks is beyond me.
@marinahoffmann0 Hi Marina, music is a big part of many peoples lives and as we know it has changed so much in the way we receive and listen to music. I think the aspect of music has evolved into so many new products.
@jpowers2022 VR is a very interesting topic to explore, as more and more companies are implementing this technology. I only know the basics of VR so I’m excited to see the research that you will find.
#DCIM353McCormick I will be researching on video streaming for my final project as we see it changing the way we watch our movies and shows. We rely on it so much that seeing how it made a crashing impact will be interesting
@JacindaNembhard This is interesting I would have thought it broke friendships as many find it toxic. Reading on the article it makes sense to me now how it is able to keep people connected with a even stronger bond.
@Selztahry We do it out of convenience which is not only in books but everything we do today. We have turned most of our world fit in the palm of our hands. We are connected and disconnected at the same time which is crazy to know.
@JakhiGrayson I agree! I think for a lot of us think iPhone is superior to android and by not having the blue bubbles, although its a small detail to a text, we have an opinion on a person as well as their lifestyle. Sounds rude but true!
The discussion that education is not the same as it once was changed social norms. Yet ,in reality the internet is expanding our skills and understanding further and provides much more than just an education. #DCIM353McCormick
