During our time interning at @neuralink, we learned many new things and realised that people still can't see the amazing power that a Neuralink truly provides.
After speaking with @shivon and many Neuralink patients, we decided to launch this social experiment heavily inspired by @shivon's amazing work. We brought 5 Neuralink patients together and gave them the power to post and control a single account, viewable by everyone.
This social experiment is a bit of a fun one and is completely self sustained through our token where we are able to generate fees to fund our research.

BREAKING: Six Neuralink patients are now sharing their thoughts through one public 𝕏 account, @Shivolink
Shivolink is a nonprofit research experiment run by MIT students and backed by Neuralink’s Shivon Zilis. The six participants live in different parts of the world but post through one shared identity.
How it works:
• A neural interface reads the words a participant intends to say
• The signal is converted into text
• The participant chooses what to share
• The message appears on the shared X account
The participants remain anonymous, and no medical records, facial images or precise locations are published.
Neuralink’s research is deeply misunderstood and believes projects like this can demonstrate its real potential.
Shivolink is not a Neuralink product or clinic. It is a powerful independent experiment showing how brain-computer interfaces could give people with disabilities a direct voice, greater independence and a new way to connect with the world.
The dura is the brain's armor: a membrane so tough that a surgeon normally cuts through it with a scalpel. For the first time in our clinical trials, we inserted the electrode threads of our implant straight through the dura and into the cortex, keeping the dura intact.
