@CydeWeys@NYCGreenfield But what skills will they learn from camp. Leadership, teamwork, compassion, flexibility and appreciation. All of that can stem from learning trade skills (which is important especially if you know how to fix your own leaky faucet or change a light switch) and a camp wide project
@CydeWeys@NYCGreenfield Accomplishment and hopefully learn aside from trade skills, planning, teamwork and executing skills. The camp should have all great things camps have, sports, art, swimming but this is the “special sauce” that makes it unique.
@CydeWeys@NYCGreenfield You’d be surprised the capabilities of children when there is good guidance & a strong foundation(pun intended)I work at Moshava for one month & love the idea that there is a focus for the summer..Zionism & not just kids having fun and being proud Jews which is important) ⬇️
@CydeWeys@NYCGreenfield Most schools have maker spaces and kids are exposed to things like circuitry, wood cutting etc. the idea here is each day campers spend 1-2 hours with licensed tradesmen to learn and build a structure or project. When the summer is over the entire camp will feel a sense of ⬇️
@CydeWeys@NYCGreenfield Kids for camp are ages 10-16. I believe it’s not a camp that only does vocational training. Camp Moshava ennimosre had a similar concept where the oldest division spent time ( 1-2 hours a day) to build a structure for the camp and finished it at the end of the summer ⬇️
I just landed in Israel, the one and only Jewish State, and America’s strongest ally and friend since its founding.
If you think I flew all the way to Israel after having not slept much in days to make sure we do not hold the ayatollah’s murderous regime accountable for the slaughter of its own people, being the largest state sponsor of terrorism with Americans’ blood on its hands, and who has an endless quest to cheat and obtain a nuclear weapon to advance their sick religious Nazi beliefs, then you have missed a lot.
I look forward to meeting with our Israeli allies to see how we can build upon the momentum created by President Trump’s bold and unprecedented leadership in Iran, where he picked the people over the ayatollah. The people are right to demand an end to this regime.
We cannot allow this historic moment to pass – and I agree with President Trump. The downfall of the ayatollah and his regime would be on par with the fall of the Berlin Wall. Remember President Trump is not Obama. I believe he is Reagan Plus.
History repeats itself with Grover Cleveland and Donald Trump. They are the only 2 nonconsecutive term presidents that also overcame sex scandals during their first election.
Why is there no girls version of Sarachek? @YeshivaUni can host it a week before boys Sarachek and host games at Chelsea Piers. Curious if this has been seriously discussed at the admin level.
I woke up in the middle of the night with the realization that 3% of all the Jews in the world are currently on duty in @IDF fighting for Israel. By comparison, that would about 78,000,000 Christians or 54,000,000 Muslims. Mind boggling.
