@MidgarQueenBee “Why not? I trust your judgement when it comes to drinks. Haven’t served me a terrible one. Not yet.”
Wall market wasn’t the worse place in Midgar, but it wasn’t exactly the best. Getting a good drink was all that seemingly mattered to him, and to an extent, it was. He had—
@MidgarQueenBee Surrounded by a few other bees, he left them a tip as his attention was immediately brought to her. Adjusting his suit, he quickly caught up to her, immediately noticing the height difference. Gripping his weapon, he slung it over his shoulder as he walked at her side.
“Bet it—
@MidgarQueenBee —setting it on the bar.
“I can wait, then. Finish your shift. I’ll be here.”
His gaze lingered for a moment before turning his attention away from her. As much as he’d rather not, the sooner she finished, the sooner they could leave.
@MidgarQueenBee He did, though he’d never mention it. He was a professional after all.
“That’s fine with me. As much as I enjoy the atmosphere and staff here, I can be swayed to try elsewhere. Getting away from your work also helps.”
With a chuckle, he pulled out the gil for the drink,—
@MidgarQueenBee He doesn’t react, but finishes his drink. Tapping the counter to request another, his gaze meets hers. Her comment doesn’t go unnoticed, his smirk growing slightly more cocky.
“Well, then, let me at least buy you a drink after your shift. Nothing like a drink after a successful—
@MidgarQueenBee —and time away that much harder. I’m here now.”
Hands resting on the bar, he keeps his gaze on her for a few moments before returning to his drink.
“…I’m making up for my forced sobriety tonight.”
@MidgarQueenBee “AWOL, me? Never.”
Catching the drink, he immediately brings it to his lips. He had almost forgotten the drinks here tasted just a bit sweeter. Setting the drink down, he shrugged his shoulders.
“Works been keeping me busy. Hard being the absolute best, sometimes. Makes breaks—
@MidgarQueenBee —bar.
Running his hands through his locks, he walked up to the bar with a smirk already locked in on his lips. He could only hold that she wasn’t too busy with the other less important patrons.
@MidgarQueenBee Works being keeping extremely busy. With everything happening with terrorist groups and getting revenge, unfortunately he hadn’t been able to get much time off.
…That is, until tonight. With Rude taking a break of his own, why wouldn’t he take this time to visit his favorite—
Taking the glass, he raises it her before downing it. Setting it back on her tray, he smiled.
“Just wanted to know if I needed to wait to buy you a drink or not. If you’re going on stage, I can wait. Better that way, anyway.”
There’d be less guests vying for her attention.—
He catches it, choosing to say nothing, he bows his head, moving to head past her. Though, he hesitates for a moment. Turning back to face her, he tilts his head.
“Are you the headliner tonight? For the show?”
Something different flashes across Diana's eyes for a brief second, something...almost like pain.
As quick as it arrives, it's gone, with a roll of the eyes.
"Dates don't pay rent, Turk."
Gesturing over to his usual booth.
"Go ahead."
“Works kept me far busier than I’d like, but it’s been more fruitful lately.”
With a coy grin, he shook his head.
“Nah, no date. Haven’t had the time. Thought I’d come by here, see how things would be. As packed as I thought.”
Looking from her to the rest of the bar, he—
Of course, his favourite worker is there. Sauntering past, clad in rose gold, a tight fitting dress and the materia heels once more.
She had a tray of glasses in her hand, the other on her waist as she raised an eyebrow at him.
"You're back? It's been a while. No date?"
