@NocontextRvB I knew someone would bite on this
Nobody plays games at quarter speed, sure
However people notice things at normal speed that seem off and slow it down to see the trickery at work
Sometimes the trickery pays off, others times the trickery is sloppy and falls apart like here
@DrtLmbrt@derelictcountry On the other side of that coin it shows that Microsoft didn’t care about the bangers Bungie was pushing out because nothing was going to stop them from ruining their billion dollar franchise with their “New York Time’s Nest Seller” narrative design for the next 15 years anyway.
@ConstantinidisA Been seeing a lot of positive discussion coming from blue checkmark “➡️ Halo Fest” “content creators”.
Did you have your pass, flight and hotel booked before or after Microsoft contacted you about the event?
@ThelVanDamne Could it be that it was done in a way that improves upon the original version while keeping the spirit of the original vision intact?
Halo fans *with low standards* are the problem.
@logorn_gadum The irony that is Halo Studios doing exactly this for CE, 2 and 3 like it’s Microsoft’s New Supe for the sake of cohesion within the franchise.
@ODST_Schizo Perfect is the enemy of good.
However this isn’t even good.
I’m glad you like your ADHD fingerpainting, smoke and mirror, sparkly effects showcase that your console and rig won’t be able to run, but I want Halo. And this isn’t Halo.
@TheLocus343 I used to obsess about getting a weapons sandbox on par with a CoD game, then I grew up and realized why we don’t necessarily need filler weapons or enemies for the sake of world building.
The rest of the additions kinda follow suit, save for the modifiers.
@nom2609 Won’t even lie, this looks more playable than the 3 white monsters deep, effect saturated, ADHD finger paint, JJ Abrams lens flare, “wasn’t spanked and it shows” clusterfuck that the first person view looks like.
@NilesSankey@32nds That’s totally ok, I’m always looking to expand my “legacy Bungie” knowledge and you and Jaime are an oasis in the desert. Could you suggest to who would be an apropos dev to pose the question to?
@32nds@NilesSankey
Would you guys or anybody else be able articulate why the original successive kill medals had the specific colorways they did at the intervals they appeared at?
The originals are nostalgic, but it’s easy to see what 343 was going for with the heat colors.
PLEASE. Need the old colorways back for the next multiplayer. Just another thing that made Halo feel less like Halo for no reason.
The new ones looks so bad. Color is good.
