@LostMyHats Jesus reads Isaiah in Luke 4. Jesus kept the Sabbath in the gospels. The disciples called Jesus rabbi, because they acknowledged he was a teacher of their faith. Jesus cannot be the prophesied fulfillment of God’s promises without those promises being made before he was born.
@dalepartridge Sounds like this is the exact sort of thing Jesus talked about. His solution was you should pluck out your own eye if it causes you to sin.
@Lilith_Atheist He's probably not wrong about many of them. You cannot hold disdain or hate for those Jesus died for and still believe you're following him.
Just because you believe he died for your sins doesn't mean he wouldn't rebuke you for acting like a Pharisee.
@ZachWLambert I keep wondering if God is using him or if God is mad about being used. Either way, I’m nervous a biblical reckoning is coming for the American Evangelical church.
@JungleBocan@scrappyone76 Oh, I’m not. I just find your level of hypocrisy so painfully predictable, revealing a complete inability for intelligent discourse to be had. You just want to be right and that’s boring. Have a nice day.
@scrappyone76@JungleBocan Exactly. Someone who crosses an imaginary, man made line is not the same as someone who commits aggravated assault or murder. There is a reason these crimes are not judged or punished the same in our courts.
@JungleBocan@scrappyone76 But being scared of somebody just for existing, someone who has not actually committed assault or murder, that is a violation of loving our neighbors as we are commanded. Everyone who has been to a wedding knows the love is patient verses. No where does it say love assumes guilt
@JungleBocan@scrappyone76 So if we apply God’s Mosaic law to this topic since that’s where this started, crossing borders was NOT a crime against God’s commands but assault was. This law was based on eye for an eye, so I do hope for mercy that they not be beaten as they did to others.
@JungleBocan@scrappyone76 Actually, the original topic was you claiming that people aren’t scared and you taking issue with a bible teacher calling out the ridiculousness of being mad at a bishop for teaching the word of God.
@JungleBocan@scrappyone76 You keep assuming I am. You are the one defending Trump. So far I have not defended Biden once. I don’t think like you do. I don’t owe loyalty to someone who doesn’t know I exist. I just won’t engage in your attempts to shift focus from the topic at hand.
@JungleBocan@scrappyone76 I shared the legal documentation and he was found guilty under the law. Either the law is just and applicable for everyone or it is unfair and applicable to no one. You cannot have it both ways.
@scrappyone76@JungleBocan Sorry @scrappyone76, I had to work all weekend. The one sentenced to 22 years was Enrique Tarrio, an ex Proud Boy leader. He was part of the assault on one state capital officer where they beat him and tased him repeatedly.

@JungleBocan@scrappyone76@ZachWLambert@johnpavlovitz If YOU take issue with Biden’s pardons but not Trump’s then you are a hypocrite who is more focused on being right than doing right and we have nothing left to discuss.
@JungleBocan@scrappyone76@ZachWLambert@johnpavlovitz I have none because I hold Biden the same standard as Trump. But your credibility is now zero if you believe criminals who assaulted police officers, were found guilty, and then did not do their full time should be on our streets. So we have nothing left to discuss.
@JungleBocan@scrappyone76@ZachWLambert@johnpavlovitz Here, let me clarify since you are struggling. I’m not afraid of criminals flooding our country. You cannot have it both ways. Either you believe violent criminals don’t belong on our streets or you don’t. So Trump made a mistake pardoning the insurrectionists, yes?
