Not so long ago, I called out private security companies for acting like guns for hire, while PSIRA sits on its hands and completely fails to police them. Now? The "Big Boys" are lining up to swallow a massive chunk of a R600 million budget. 💸

Remember when former EPMD Deputy Commissioner Revo Spies dropped bombshells? He exposed how heavy hitters like Big Boy Security and CAT VIP had zero contractual, legal, or financial basis to operate with the EPMD. These are the very same companies the SIU is investigating right now. We already know the lethal danger of these unchecked private forces just look at killers like Sotheni.

But wait, it gets worse. 🤬

EWN is now reporting that SAPS has actually approached private security giants like Bidvest Protea Coin, G4S, and Fidelity to "assist" them leading up to and on 30 June.

Let that sink in.

SAPS is outsourcing its constitutional duty to private corporations. Instead of fixing our broken, demoralised police force, the government is handing over millions to private armies to do a job they are paid to do.

If the state has to hire mercenaries to keep the peace, what exactly are we paying taxes for?!
